Default Crescenzi GT brake system...

Anyone have the Crescenzi Racing Brake system installed on their GT? I have never liked the brake on my GT and was wondering if this would be a worthy upgrade for the race season...Thoughts or opinions? I was just gonna buy it and try it but it is 30 bucks and looks like 1800's horse-drawn carriage technology with that leather strap Cool site though if you have a GT: http://www.rc10gthobby.com/cr_brake.htm

Hi

I agree with ICrashThings it's a good brake setup. I have one and it lock's up my tires when I hit the brakes.

Its great! Its much more consistant from a rolling brake to a full fledged lock up. Its also alot simpler to setup in regards to the linkage area. Its pretty much fool-proof!

I've had it for two years - great braking system. Make sure you also get the tranny mount needed to install if you have a RTR . Also buy an extra strap for use if you bend the first one or wear it down....saves additional postage. Also on that site I bought the Clutch nut that uses a screw and washer instead of the dreaded E-Clip . The directions that come with it are pretty crappy - Book Mark the site so you can refer their photos and additional installation instructions online that you can print out. Enjoy!

bsammyfl - you ever find a Crescenzi Brake for your RC10GT? I would love to pick one up as well... but since 1) they've been discontinued for quite some time... 2) a used one isn't going to work very well... and 3) nobody really races 1/10 nitro stadium trucks anymore (even 1/10 electric st races are hard to fill)... is it really a necessary item?? Probably not

But I'd still like one. The stock GT brake sucks monkey balls.
