I've been thinking of upgrading to 2.4 ghz mostly to avoid frequency conflicts.Anyone have any recommendations? Traxxas has a good deal on their 2.4. You trade in your old transmitter and they will give you a new 2.4 for about $65.00.I have looked on ebay but the ones that are not too expensive are from companies Ihave never heard of.

Hey I'm new to nitro got my Jato 2.5 a couple days ago. It run great once I get it started. Today I attempted to start it about 50 times(pull start) before it even began to start. And when it starts it stalls almost right away. And once its started and runs for a couple minutes it starts right back up on the first pull. Yesterday it was high 90's (temperature in the air) today it was 70's. What can i do to make it run, or start on the first or second pull
Thanks

How long are your gears lasting when you rebuild the tranny? One thing that worked for me was losening the slipper a bit.

Less then a tank and it's completely removing the teeth on the gear.

Man less than a tank? Hmmm give me some time and I will try to take pics of my tranny so you can make sure everything is installed correctly.

Engine Help

Im having issues with my engine (not on my Jato but I like you guys so figured i'd post here) and am out of ideas. The engine loses power and bogs down at WOT. Lately I have been able to get 1 high speed pass but when I turn around and try to open it up again it loses power at mid and top end and gets really boggy.

I thought maybe my carb was dirty, so I took the whole thing apart, cleaned, and let it sit in a tub of seafoam for 2 days and reassembled. I also thought I may have had an air leak, so I tore the motor down and applied automotive gasket sealer to all gaskets and connections. Neither of these have helped.

Engine has less than a gallon through it and I always run rich and use wd40 after run, so I have a hard time believeing my piston/sleeve are worn. Compression seems good when pull starting.

I have tried to run it with both 20 and 33% fuel and neither makes a difference. Tuning does not seem to help as the issue occurrs when I lean or richen the high speed needle. Low end power is good and I get 2-3 seconds of rev up using the pinch test. I have beed running nitro engines for years so I generally know how to tune an engine.

Im totally out of ideas. What am I missing?

Thanks!

Sounds like your HSN is too lean. Try resetting to factory settings and going from there.

yeah man ive been trying that. Go back to factory and then richen in 1/8 turn increments, make 2 passes and turn another 1/8 turn, and repeat. Ive tried going both rich and lean. Nothing works. Im stumped
