How can I reset my Jato tranny to the stock shift setting? I couldn't find anything in the online manual on how to reset it. What number of turns is stock? I've got it tuned well and it is very fast, but I cannot hear it shift (Like my LST does)...even when rolling on the throttle.

Gee thanks for the speedy info on the tranny settings! Lol.
At any rate, I found 2nd gear. The previous owner had it almost locked out. It was adjusted so far out that it takes 150-200 feet before it shifted. I adjusted it to shift sooner and everything is good!

The fronts 30wt and the rears are 25wt im pretty sure. I think that you better go and buy some really stiff revo springs to make the shocks if all your doing is onroad. I wish i had the money for stuff like that!!!

Question for ya, I got my Jato 2.5 today and cleaned it up. Upon inspecting things, I found a 2 wire receiver plug (Like from a servo or the battery) hiding in the compartment directly below/in front of the engine. The truck already has the battery pack plugged in, the steering servo and the throttle servo plugged in. What is it from or for?

I bought my Jato 3.3 like a week ago and man its speed is sick. I also have a T-Maxx which I also love. Here are some pics of my jato with some LED MODS. I have a battery pack in the center area. So I used the back space for the LED batteries ( 3 AA Batteries). Hope this gives some ideas.
Heres some pics with alittle more light to see better (camera effects to brighten up pictures)

RE: -Official Traxxas JATO Thread-
I just listed my Jato on Ebay. You can find it through this link...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MESE:IT&ih=004
I am selling it for less than half of what I have into it. I have spent over 1250 dollars.
Also included is the lighting kit like the one in that earlier post. Body is pre-drilled and batteries included.
Email me directly if you'd like to make me an offer. [email protected]
Jason
Here are a couple direct links to the pics...

All in all how good is the Jato 3.3 in the grass. Just curious because since it is 2 wheel drive.
Thank you.
I will be using it for 75% bashing around the house and 25% track time.

RE: -Official Traxxas JATO Thread-
Well after reading this thread and a visit to my hobby shop to check out the JATO I found a NIB unit on ebay for 356.00 shipped. I got it today and all I can say is WOW. This one is for my kid for xmas but I may have to buy one for myself. I currently have an iferno with a OS MAX21 race engine on it which hauls the bacon, but I am expecting the jato to be able to keep up with my inferno.
I am going to break this one in on thanksgiving morning so I will get a chance to see what i can do after broken in.
Any helpful hints before I start this procedure?
Thanks,
Patrick

i don't think there is a specific kit for the jato... any of them should work.. or you can make your own if you have a store like radio shack over there...
for your christmas stuff I left a post in the thread you started...
