Then the only problem I had after the MT gears is if you set the slipper to tight you strip the middle gear even with the heavy duty one.

Most have had your slipper adjusted just right all the time. I stripped 3 in mine with a little HPI 15 SS over the past 5 or so years. If you ever do it like I do my Savage and tighten the slipper all the way down on a Rush then it takes me about half a tank before it eats one. Now you run on road more don’t you? I run only off which is more brutal on the drive train.

before i use to only take it offroad ive found that the slipper is PERFECT!!!!! when there is about 1 1/2MM of thread sticking out of shaft i even jumped my RUSH EVO over my car (ford explorer) i use to jump it off everything and i still would if it wasnt for the fact the rush is disconntued .........and i dont wanna break parts left and right.......... i still like offroad but not as much the only thing i have i take offroad is the SAVAGE

I've fried 3 middle gears but only one since I backed my slipper clutch off.. it's not so keen to wheelie anymore though probaly a good thing! I have cracked one set of spider gears but since shimming it it's hard as nails. what oil do you guys run in your diffs?

I haven't fried any middle gears yet - i keep a looser slipper tho (around 2 turns out from tight, sometimes a little less) i've fried a couple diffs tho, but once i shimmed mine properly, and stuffed it full of axle grease, it works great. The only thing is, the grease works its way out on the left side after a while. This is most likely due to the donuts i did when i first got the truck (no one told me), which wore out the one side of the diff, and diff casing. I've just been too lazy to go out and get a new diff case.

I've done the same with my diff general purpose grease works great, on my second case though.. first one melted along with my middle gear!

oh man that thing is sooooo sweet! all the problems with the rush have been fixed - that godawful T-15, the crappy steering, the shocks, the pipe, and the best part - NO ROTOSTART!!!!!! YAAAYAYAYAYAYAYAYYA!

Hey wait - i thought HPI wasn't going to make another 2wd ST [sm=50_50.gif] oh well, im not complaining, just saying.

I wonder how much of it will fit on the rush? I stacked my rush majorly at the weekend, best crash yet.. bent a shock, bent a CVD, cracked one rim, ripped two wheels of the rims, snapped a turnbuckle, stripped a spur gear and tore apart front body mounts. Getting close to consigning the old girl to the bin She needs some major surgery to get going again but if i could make a firestorm/rush hubrid it might be worth while

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^this sounds like me..................LOL lucky while they where still scrapping out the parts on ebay i bought a CRAP LOAD of parts for close to nothing so my RUSH can last a very long time since this was my first nitro i wouldnt wanna get rid of it ..............i have so much parts i could build a second RUSH EVO and it would still be made with new parts the ONLY part i need to complete a second RUSH is the GEAR BOX.................just the case not even the gears since i have spare gears.......................i feel bad becuase ive let it collect dust for so long i feel ill never fire it up again...............and now with my new buggy i see even less of a chance of my running it!!!!!!!

Do not believe very much of the Firestorm will fit the Rush. Since it does not seem I can sell my Rush I think I am going to put it all back stock and make a shelf queen out of her.

I'm starting to think the same thing, maybe have it in my office or something and buy a MT2 .18SS to replace it. Knowing my luck that will be discontinued soon after.

The MT is a great truck and is why I hardly ever ran my Rush after getting mine. 4-wheel drive just handles SO MUCH better and is the reason I am not overly interested in the Firestorm as all my nitro vehicles have been 4 wheel drive since.

I used mine to destruction fun car, but now it's dead.. I think it's time to either break it and sell it or put it in a coffin. I can see an MT2 coming my way..

i was tempted to buy a second hand roller but the parts to make it how i want are so expensive in the UK, think i might be better off buying an .18 SS and selling the engine. I think you two have made up my mind for me though.. so long rush
