Default Jato or MT2 SS

Whats the better way to go for bashing, i like the 4-wheel drive on the MT2 for bashing, but i like the top speed and acceleration on the Jato. The Jato kinda looks like it is a little weak, has anyone put it up to some bashing yet if so how did it hold up? The MT2 looks pretty durable from them videos on HPI's site.

Will the Jato need any hop ups to be durable enough to some pretty heavy bashing and same question for the MT2 SS.

hey, i own the jato. i broke the only 2 parts that will ever break. its one hell of a tuff car, you just have to get hop-ups for the suspention arms and the shock tower. those are the only things that break. not to mention, the jato is traxxas, so if something goes wrong, they have parts for it (just not for the jato right now, its to new). the RTR comes with everything you need except 12 batteries, fuel, fuel bottle, and battery (forgot the type). the whole car ends up costing about 410-430$, depending on were you buy it. get traxxas 20% or 33% fuel, it works a bit better then other fuels for the engine, and for god sakes, FOLLOW THE BREAK IN INSTRUCTIONS!!!! once broken in, about 1 1/2 hours, FUN AS HELL! the 2wd is something to get used to, but not a big problem. and the tires are crap, but use them for ground crusin and breakin in. i have gladiators in the rear and edges in the front, works great, all are 2.2, no 2.8 tires out now. hope my info is useful, and so you know, there are about 10 other forums like this one between the same to trucks.

MT2 .18SS would be my choice. I have both 2 and 4 wheel drive and the 4 wheel handles so much better.

Check out my video's. I've bashed mine hard... (Jato) and it's held up well so far.

How much you break will depend on how good of a driver you are. I see some people go off jumps terribly and are just plain terrible at jumping, which then leads to broken parts. No ST is going to be "Unbreakable" They all have week spots.

Definatly get the mt2 18ss, the jato just doesn't compare. The mt2 18ss has 4wd, bigger engine, bigger parts backup, and is one the most durable trucks out there, including monster trucks in this. I have an mt2, and it can survive huge jumps, bad crashes and tons or cartwhells. All i ahve broken was 1 steering knuckle, one c-hub and i a-arm after 3 1/2 gallons. My friends t-maxx breaks very easily, espectially in the cartwheels.

the jato will definatly wheelie. i took my tires off of my rustler because i want to save my jato tires for dirt only. took it to a big field and as soon as you punch it and it grips those front wheels come up pretty quick. even if you take off easy and then slowly open it up as soon as it shifts to 2nd gear the wheels come up pretty fast. it is so cool seeing it pull wheelies when it shifts gears. this thing rocks. i might have to sell my rustler it might be seeing a lot of shelf time

did not flip but you have to feather the throttle because going that fast on two wheels bad things could happen
