if the motor is shot.. get a piston/sleeve for an aquacraft miss-vegas boat.. its the same motor except it has a chrome sleeve instead of a nickel sleeve.. the chrome is much better.. and its only about 30 bucks..

Anyone know of any wheelie bars that will fit the evader?
Im tired of tearing up my custom painted bodies with the flipovers from wheeling the thing to death.

i think i would fab a wheelie bar up from some smaller wheels and just put a threaded bolt through the battery box and just shim the wheels so they don't rub on the box, they should be big enough if you put it through as far back and as low as possible with some maybe revo wheely bars wheels??

This has come up in the past a few times on this thread, finding it is deff. the trick with over 300 pages. I have seen pics of guys just mounting small rc plane landing wheels right to the batt. box for a makeshift wheely bar. There is a post and link somewhere in the thread to a company that custom makes them for various rc's. I actually have an alum. skid plate on mine and the batt. box is mounted in the front. It does a good job of keepin the truck from flippin, but doesn't eliminate it.

Im having troubles getting my engine to idle. When i start it i have to keep the throttle wide open or it wont start and if i take my finger off the throttle it stalls. Ihad replaced the glow plug, fuel lines, fuel tank. The only thing is that the part were the tuned pipe connects to the engine came loose one day and i never realized it and i lost the manifold gasket. My dad who is a mechanic made one and put it in there so it has stopped leaking. After i get it running a while once i take my finger off the throttle it dies right away and dont know what is wrong. Me and my dad have spent 3 hours trying to figure out what was wrong and couldnt figure it out. It had been running good before i had lost the manifold gasket but im not sure if that is the problem.

Sounds like you lost compression in the engine.  The sleeve is worn out.

So I've been out of RC for a little while, and now that it's summer and I have some more free time I'd like to get back into it. The last time I drove my Nitro Evader ST I remember it coming to unfortunate end because I believe it was the spur gear I stripped? I'm not 100% sure what happened, or what exactly is wrong with it, but I remember when I last used it the brake disc got fried up and now the engine will start and run just fine, but when I give it gas it'll just rev up. I remember asking on here back when it happened, and someone had told me it was the spur gear that stripped since the engine will still run, just the truck wont move. Any input or help would be greatly appreciated, as I am dying to get my Evader back up and running. Thanks.
