The needle settings are covered in the very first post on this thread, when you have the engine back together you'll have to retune it follow the directions listed here and you should be fine.

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread v2.0
Another dumb question, on the break in, I should use 6 tanks of fuel? And when the instructions say to richen the Hi speed, is that tightening or loosening the Hi speed screw??? About how long should it take me to go through a tank??? I also just read about my piston alignment in the sleeve, I didn't pay any attention to how it came out, could you guys tell me how it's supposed to gotogether correctly?

hey guys, am new to this thread. my bro has a evader st which im lookin after the maintenance of - that and my Revo keeps me busy
came off a jump yesterday down at the track and smashed the battery pack off the back sending the engine full boar and rendering the failsafe useless. im glad i hadnt got round to replacing a bearing in the front cos it did donuts instead of dissapearing ha ha.
anyhow i want to know from you gurus what i can do to prevent that in future. should i buy the stock battery box again or is there a better one.

Any one on the piston alignment? It only goes one of two ways, does the extra hole in the piston go out towards the exhaust, or in towards the carb?

Ok, I just got off the phone with DuraTrax, and the port on the piston needs to point toward the fron of the car, not toward the exhaust. Just in case anyone else has a duhh moment and decides not to pay any attention. Final question (hopefully!), which motor saver air filter fits???

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread v2.0
even though you rebuilt the rear diff, that might still be the problem. if you take the gear box off and turn the spurrgear will the outputs turn. are all the gears meshing properly

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread v2.0
if i grab the slipper nut and turn it the out drives turn..if i hold the transmission in my hand and try to turn the out drives by the spur gear the out drives dont turn..if i lock the slipper down all the way the buggy will move under power from the engine. i am thinking its in the slipper assembly.. oh and i turned my bx into a st today..way col looking..
