Story 2: Nissan Sentra vs. Evader
Well I put Masher 2000s on my Evader...
I got one good run with it before I found out the stock servo won't turn those fatty tires like the blades...
The result was me cruising my evader right into the path of a Nissan Sentra.
The battle:
VS.
This story isn't quite as funny as my Evader vs Sewer Drain story, but it works.
I just put masher 2000's on my evader. Front and rear... I probably dumped 300 into my car this month, so I wasn't out looking for something bad to happen to my car. I fired it up on the first pull, something that started happening once I got rid of the dinky and problematic DTX engine. I warmed it up in the grass next to the road, not noticing any huge change in turning diameter... since I was in the grass. After about 5 minutes I wanted to see just how fast she'd roll on the road with a bigger tire to use all of those RPMs pouring from the CV-R. Man, that thing really hooks up and goes. It's almost disgusting how fast it's going with Evader BX gearing, four shoe clutch and all metal diff. All of that madness put the car far far far down the road in a few seconds.
So far down the road that my depth perception was slightly off.
Normally I can flip the car around in my lane even if there is a car in the other lane. I usually wait for the car to pass... and I thought I did. And I also thought I'd be able to turn the car in my own lane like usual.
I was wrong.
One second later and a large sweeping turn directly... into.... the.... path... of ... a *%*&^ car.
Crunnnnnnnch
Stupid weak little steering servo just didn't have the balls to turn my wheels.
I didn't take pics because I was too excited to fix it and break it again, but even after the car literally rolled all the way over my poor car -- crunch included... my car was almost undamaged.
Granted, the rear rims were crushed, I broke the servo horn, the tuned pipe was mashed off... a few other little things like the chassis and motor mount screws being ground into the chassis ... a silverish+blueish nitro leaking mess.. I have to drill them out tonight.
I fixed all of this in like 40 minutes and was back in the street looking for cars to run into. I'm just shocked... even after a car rolled over it, I didn't even need to adjust my gear mesh.
Lessons learned
1. Mashers + stock servo = car no like turns
2. R/C cars can't run over real cars, no matter how big of tires you slap on it.
3. OS. 18 CV-RX + Mashers still = backflips ... instant backflips (stay far away from cars please)
4. No matter how many people talk smack about the Evader not being able to take a hit, mine got RUN THE HELL OVER and I didn't even break a shock tower.
(Don't ask me how that happened.)
5. Mashers + BX gearing + 18 CV-R = Mo fast. Jato eating (fun) , kung-fu ninja backflipping (fun), grin inspiring (fun), wallet emptying (not fun)

WOW that sucks how did that crap not break!?! i would of cryed after putting $300 into it so far and having it get run over. Its embarrasing and shamefull. I dont have any good stories like that but i bet i will eventually. when a car comes in the road i jus turn the truck into the grass and let the car go by. WOW you got lucky!

Yeah, I have no idea how it didn't break. I mean, I at least expected both of the shock towers to snap like a cuban's house in a hurricane.

I opened this expecting you to be furious.. I can't believe you are doing this to your car.... you should be a freaking test pilot for one of the manufacturers, then they could truly say a car is indestructible..

Some things you just don't plan for
In the worst case scenario, I would have bought a used car off of ebay and put all of my hop-ups on it.
Luckily I didn't have to do that.

I would have felt honored, had it been a 350 Z.
