Default nitro engines

how do i know when im running my engine at its best performance?

i have a traxxas rustler w/ the 2.5, i didnt have a stop watch on me, but it seamed like i had atleast 10-12 minuets for the tank and i had a good amount of smoke commin out, it wasnt spitting out alot of oil as if it was rich, i had enough power to do burnouts and baloon my tire doing burnouts. i have a bit of a brown coloration on my glow plug. my idle seems to be a bit off though, not by much, donst sound right. how can i check my idle setting is right?

wow thats helpful[sm=stupid.gif] generaly your going to just want to tune that engine so it actually stays running. the trx is so sensitive. ill try to lean mine out just a little for a little more performance and it will overheat[:@]. just make sure you have plenty of smoke from the exhaust and it doesnt sound spluttery or anything.

i find when my cars tuned well, is when i have no tyres left by the end of the tank

naaaa, you should really notice the power difference but normally, depending what engine you
have but i lean it out till it starts to starve for fuel at high speeds than i richen it about quarter
a turn.
And i find that that's the best i can get my 12.CV-R
