I read that the arms are very similar but are thicked & the body that RCCA ran on the GT2 was not Jared's show body, it was just a plain black body with a "wrap" with all his sponsers and his paint scheme

i dont know if this was posted yet(not enugh time to read it all) but this thing looks so much like the losi NT it's not even funny, the parts a differat yes but it has pretty much the same basic design concept. i would buy this over the NT and that is coming from a losi guy, but i will wait and see how losi counters the GT2 first.

This does look a lot more like the losi nt. It looks as though ae designed this for racers, so i am curious if this truck will be bullet proof like the original gt but with losi like handling. I probably wont buy one but someone at my local track will probably get one and let me try it out.

do you guys think theres any hope for a ready to run version? cause i went and figured it would cost me $500 to get the car and engine alone, which is a lot when youre only 15.[X(]

All GT's have the same basic design. If they didnt then they all wouldnt fit in the same class

What do u mean by class? The new gt has the same layout as the ad2 and the same features now. The only design feature that ae didnt used was the vertical ball studs in the rear.

Why argue about something so stupid? This is not a Losi, bottom line.

All cars in the stadium truck class will have some simularities. The gt2 and the nt have the same layout. I am not saying it is bad and i am actually kind of glad that there will actually be something different in the a-mains rather than ad2's. I am not talking about pro-level racing, i mean at club level racing (the common racers who dont get custom parts)

well...
My setup, since i already have a radio and starter box
$110 for a .12CVR
$50 for a Novak XXL receiver...
$35 each for Hitec 645s
$25 for a receiver pack
$50 off from tower
$280 for the truck
$485
you could have it even cheaper
$99 for an OS .18CVR-X
$75 for a whole cheap futaba FM radio
use the servos from the cheap futaba FM radio
steal AA's from the drawer in the kitchen
$50 off from Tower
$404

RE: *~ Official RC10GT2 Thread ~*
I was looking at the pics, of the new gt2 and counting the teeth on the spur and pinion saying to myself hu! geared strange i forgot that it has a 4.09: 1 tranny vs/ a 2.60:1 This thing should have as much punch off the line as a 1/8 buggy. And with a dual slipper it will take off smooth as silk or if the slipper is tight [which is bad on the diff] will pull the front end off the ground out of every corner My current GT does this every once in a while if i dont have the slipper just rite , and the mip clutch locks up early [mostly when i drift a corner while i blip the throttle]I am making a guess that on small local tracks the gt2 will be unbeatable and on corner to corner on a large track the only place other 1/10 st-trucks will touch it is on a long straight ---also if it has the wide track in the front, which it appears to be 13" roar max the straight line ability on the rough stuff will be outstanding It will also be interesting to see the results of those who convert the chassic to dirt oval.----I have to quit second guessing this thing but the more i look at the GT2 and search for info on it the more i feel the 1/10 ST class is in for a big surprise with a rise in popularity and the GT2 should make allmost as big of a wave as the first GT did . Waiting is such sweet sorrow for us RC junkies!!

Well said !
The GT IS NOT A AD2 and wont go like one, geez how is it so similar they have an upper deck now? it also has super huge suspension arms lower shocktowers weird long low cg tank etc, its nothing like it, also on the tranny, it might be geared numerically higher but its spur and CB will make it no way near as extreme.

Ok! Now i know that there has been a silly AE losi feud for years. And its not from the companies, but the drivers of each brand. And we all know that the founders of Losi started in the bussiness because of AE ,and without AE there wouldn't be Losi or allmost every other brand out there. And we all know that just about every thing that is made in the RC industry is a copy of a AE design of sorts, in a attempt to copy what AE has allready done or thought about doing. So common sense just tells a person why buy a copy when you can have the original. I am not saying that there is anything wrong with every other brand out there that is not a AE, there are some really great and fast RC cars/trucks out there. But hey they are copies and myself i like the original from the pioneers of RC,"why buy from the student when can buy from the teacher " So this feud is silly: To those who really know. :]--:] --:]

good point. hopefully we dont start a flame war, as most companies are very good these days. but i must say ive almost completely overhauled my garage to nothing but associated cars.
