Has anyone successfully changed motors in their menace? It looks like I am going to have to get some motor mounts custom made since no one seems to make any that will work...

I have this truck on the way.
www.schumacher-rc.com they sell a .28 conversion kit for it, comes with mounts, .28, and a few other small things. Or you could get some custom adjustable mounts from www.wolfpackradicals.com for $40 i think. After you get some mounts, any roto/pull .21-28 will fit right in.

I've used the wplfpack mounts to fit the tt.28 in my menace. They work a treat and he sent the mounts to me within a week! I'm in the UK. The menace4x4x28 pops high speed wheelies now which is fun, but can get a bit annoying when trying to drag race. I ripped my new shell in half due to too many wheelies

Yeup it fits fine, I have one in mine. Makes a whole world of a difference to the brake performance! With a hump pack you can upgrade the servos too.

Nice, I'm looking at gettting one. Have you tried a port and polish job on the Thunder Tiger Pro .21? I'll drive the stocker silly - gotta spin to win, right? I would stick with a .21 afterwards, prob an OS.

RE: Offical Schumacher Menace .21 Thread v1.0
Hi
I just got a menace 21 last Friday and have a few questions. How do you tell if the truck is hitting all 3 speeds? And is there a way to adjust shift points within the set-up? Is there different gears and pinion kits for these trucks? And where is everyone finding parts? I have been to the Schumacher site directly and the only other place i found was the Schumacher R/C Superstore Support here on rcu which i have already ordered a new set of rims and now 1 aluminum suspension mount for the front. Just wondering if these have been out that long that there is not many part houses for them like for the savage. And i am open to all the little secrets that i should know about this truck. Thanks for the help

easiest way of knowing when it changes gear is u will hear it secndly u can make it change a bit quicker by drilling tiny holes in the pawls this will make them lighter therfore changin quicker

Thanks for the help. I do listen for it like i do on my savage i hear it hit 2nd i might just be running out of room before it can hit 3rd. And i know its a matter of preference but what is the usual number of holes and what size drill bit? My plan is to make it a street racing menace and being this is my first Schumacher and noticing that there is no screws to adjust stuff other than the carb i'm just wanting to know before i jack it up.lol I just got my road hawgs 2 and 142oz steering servo in today (yahoo) next will be my rims and that darn aluminum mount piece for the suspension up front. This seems to be a wicked and fun little truck can't wait till i get it set-up.lol Thanks again
