Look on any 1 to 1 car and I assure you there is one somewhere. I do not run any of my combustible engines with out one. Does not matter if it is my 1 to 1 car, motorcycle or my RC engines I have one on all of them.

All the dirt that gets in the fuel is caught by the fuel filter. Your 1/1 car has a fuel filter to. It prolongs the engine's life

Most RC car fuel tanks have a stone filter at the pick up, so it isn't always necesary to run one on the fuel line. Some tank's filters have been known to break down though, so you may want a screen filter for extra protection. I know that the Associated Monster GT's tank has had problems with the filter breaking down.

All NT tanks have them also.Its just and extra precaution.
