Default Glade plug-in oil for nitro? is this a bad thing?

Hi, its been 5months since my last run with the ole' ghetto evader. i heard about this scented fuel additve and wanted to try it out. i became impatient today and put in 3 drops to a 1/2 quart of "fresh linnen" oil. i ran it and the outcome was no differcence of proformance and faint smell of fresh laundry! plug it in, plug it in...

just wondering if it can hurt the engine in the long run.

...yes i know this isn't the fuel section of this web, so dont remind me.

Interesting. IDK, if there's nothing corrosive or anything, then I don't see the problem. Good, cheap alternative.

Yeah I bought a little thing of that a while ago. It's the bubble gum scent one. I had it for almost 1 1/2 now but never ran it. Dont even know why I bought it but I did. As from what I was told it's the same thing as fuel (as it is flamable ) but they added something in there to make it smell like bubble gum or cherry and watermelon. I think those are the flavors but it is expensive.

No sorry I have it here in my hand and there are tns of scents. here they are-----bubble gum, cherry, cotton candy, grape, pina colada(coconut) or root beer.

It's made by parma international. Here's thers site guys www.parmapse.com -------- now this all came from the bottle so if anything is wrong dont yell at me.

Yeah I got to admit that I also love the smell of nitro that's why I did not use it in over 1 1/2 years. But never the less I do have it if I ever want to use it.

It makes the scent less offensive to those that don't like the smell of nitro (Like my wife). Cotton Candy works good, but I think Pina Colada is in my future (As the Jimmy Buffet song plays in my head).

Well I'm glad you like your nitro so much. You know when you love something when you get all teary eyes when around it.

LOL Just kidding. Yeah it does get to your eye's. Try going to an indoor race where there's been racing for 2 days straight all day long. Now that makes you tear up.

I have never been to an indoor track but it seems it should have very good ventilation or some government authority would shut it down.

Yes most tracks do. But at MotorRama which is held ever year up at the harrisbug farm show complex they have a rc track that is built and tons of people show up and race. MotorRama is a huge indoor car show and they have indoor quad racing and moto cross and things of that nature. MotoRama is held in the middle or end of the winter when everybody is getting itchy from not being able to race. But the complex is huge and has several area's and the room that has the rc track in is actually pretty big and does have a ventilation system but the room still fills up with the exhaust. It's not all that bad I mean yeah it makes ya little tearry eyed but other then that and having red blood shot eyes for a little it doesnt really affect you as much as you think it would.

And most racers arent as affected it's the people that are have never been around the rc's and have never had the exhaust around them that are affected the most. But even they are more then willing to accept there eyes being a little tearry for the action that goes on.

i remember a while back befor i got my jato3.3, my brother was using SIG 15% air plane nitro in his rustler,.. and it was very harsh to our eyes and nose(s)(sp), i normally welcome the smell of nitro exhaust fumes, but not even a cotton candy scent wouldnt have made it any better.....

When i worked in a hoby shop, i would do quick tuning indoors, in a very small room out the back, it had ventilation but vented far less than a big block or even a 12 puts out. And interestingly the sprinklers never went off, even though there were 3 sprinjklers out there. and yes this room was tiny, like a small bathroom.

The sprinklers go off from heat (has to melt the little red element), not smoke. At any rate, Nitro indoors is not good for you. Exhaust (1:1 or Rc Nitro) is primarily carbon monoxide - which can kill you - even with the speed scents in place (No less toxic, just smells better).

Be careful - inhaling CO kills brain cells.

well glade plug-in oil burns strange. if you put a few drops on a spoon and heat it under a flame, it will burn just on the top of the oil for a few seconds, on the other hand nitro evaporates almost instantly. so mabe can one of you do this test on scented additve for me?
