Default JR XS3 PRO

Hey
I saw that this radio is now only 199.99. I wanted to get it for my jato, but the only thing I'm worried about is when i get another rc, i will have to spend lots of money on a new synthisized reciver. Is the true and what recivers can i use?

I've got the XS3. Yes, you need another Receiver, but the synth ones aren't THAT expensive. You can pick one up on ebay for $50-60. You do not need a synth receiver, though, you just need a receiver that is the same frequency, band & will work with JR radios. Futaba will not work (Positive versus negative phase shift is the reason). Airtronics might work, but I'm not positive. I also think HiTec works.

I have both the JR RS300 and the JR RS310 (both synthesized). The 310 is nice and small. I have not had a single problem with either of them...including NO glitching.

Yup, you just need to pick any JR 75mhz receiver (If you choose a 75mhz tx) and a crystal and then set the radio for that channel. Should work fine.

Like I said, if I needed another receiver, I would buy another JR RS310. The range is great, the footprint is quite small, the price isn't bad and it is still synthesized.

Here is a cheapie: http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...rodID=HRC24375

A super cheapie: http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...rodID=JRPR102Y

There are a few RS310's and many RS300's on ebay, too.

I did recently read that if you buy a Spektrum 3 Channel (DX3?) you get 2 receivers with it for around $250.

Ok one of the Huge reasons i like the Xs3 Pro Better is because it looks better. And Also the XS3 is a radio i could have for a long time for alot of RC's. Me and my bro are planning to both get a new car soon.

Aw crap, my bad. Good catch scdrj!

Nope it doesn't do AM. Like I keep saying, RS310 or RS300 are the best receivers.
