I hope the new engine is better then the last two small blocks they made the 15 FE and T15. All so hope it is better then the 18SS. I like HPI a lot as I have 4 of their vehicles but do not like most of their small blocks. Wish I could see more on how the steering is set up. I sure do not like the way it is on my Rush!

You cannot go by the price they have on Towers now and I would think it will end up being all most $100 cheaper when in stock.

An SS version would be great, maybe they could put in some aluminum shocks and dish wheels. Maybe don't include an engine, and then that might appeal to me. I want to race but I only go a crappy traxxas Nitro Sport. I would decide between this and the RC 10GT2 for my next truck.

when it releases im buying it. that and the wheely king. i cant keep up with HPI's new cars man.

I personally like the 18SS engine. low end isnt the greatest but on top end this suckers gets my MT2 and my RS4 going. maybe this is like the HO version of the 18SS or something.

something about this truck just dragged me in and i just really want it, i cant explain it.

btw, take a look at the option parts page. HPI has alot lined up for this truck. looks like they will be getting serious with this "racing" thing.

They never did make a Rush in a kit so I would not be surprised if the do not make the Firestorm in a kit. Would be nice but after running all the 4 wheel drive trucks I have do not think I will get another 2 wheel drive. I have the Rush and hardly run it because 4 wheel drive handles SO much better.

its a 1/10 race spec 2wd truck. well its RTR but its a base for a race truck. they will make a kit for this truck, this is like the Hellfire's little brother.

personally, im waiting for HPI to make a 1/8 buggy. that would be cool.

It doesn't look like it would be hard for them to make a 2 speed for it.

The reason why they do not put 2-speeds like that on Off-Road vehicles is because debris always gets stuck in between the gears, sredding them. This happens very often even on the On-Road cars, and is also the reason why the Savage's 2-speed gears are enclosed in a transmission case. The make a 2-speed kit for the MT2, but they do not recommend it for off-road use because of this problem.

its built to race, not try and beat traxxas in a top speed pissing match, which i personally believe is stupid.

To each his own ya know? If it were truly meant to be raced they would have it in kit form wouldn't they? I agree with you though. I'm an off-road guy and don't see much fun in going in a straight line on level ground. I ran an RS4 Evo 2 speed in my MT1 for some time then swapped back over to an MT2 slipper setup. I punished the 2 speed in that truck and it took it surprisingly. I was scared that it would explode since it didn't have a slipper. That is why I took it out.
