When this car works it work great but when it not It can be a pain in the butt![:@] I have had all sorts of trouble with it and I have only had it for a month. I'll admit that some of the problems were my fault like the carb sticking due to a peice of dirt getting in while I was running without the air filter, and the front bulkhead breaking after running wide open into the tire on my jeep!
But now the throttle servo isn't working properly. when I turn on the radio and the car the servo goes to WOT and the only way to get it closed is to push the throttle stick on the radio forward like you do when you put on the brake. then when I let it go it goes back to WOT. Is there anything that I can do to fix this por do I have a defective servo? Please help I'm getting frustrated with tis car![:@]
Thanks

replace it...the stock servos are slow and weak, just upgrade to a nicer servo....

also check the receiver make sure it is not the cause, plug the steering servo into the channel 2 slot, and if it works fine, its the servo thats the cause, but if two servos are glitching in channel 2, but not channel 1 then it could be the receiver

Was working on my Firestorm and made a wheelie bar from Savage a-arms!I cut the a-arms to the right length and drilled holes in the battery box and bolted the wheelie bar to it!What do you think?

Nitro Nate, Thats cool[8D]. So is it like the same as a Savage wheelie bar or made out of the bare A-arm? Now you can have a wheelie fest and it will be ready for when you get the TZ in there huh?
Frozen72 Yes mine has taken a good bashing with no broken parts with 5-6 foot jumps so I think if it will take that it will take 10 feet easily just ask NitroNate, He bashes hard.

Just spent my first weekend with the firestorm, brilliant fun!

Only thing I've noticed is that the HSN was not flush when I got it, it was about 1 full turn out, I've managed to tune it and its running great, plenty of smoke at full throttle, but any leaner and it bogs. I tried running at flush (factory settings) and it bogs and stalls too much, so I'm guessing my 'factory setting' is one full turn anticlockwise from flush? Apart from that, I'm sure its running well on 16% tornado fuel.

Broke the left suspension arm too hitting a parked car but I manged to fix it by simply glueing it. Thinking of buying some ally arms (12 quid on ebay, search hot racing in the US) anyone have any opinions? apparantly buying stronger parts just means that somewhere else will break, kindof shifting the weak points around?

What type of rim does the the Firestorm use. Does it use a 12mm hex or a drive pin? I need to know if I can use the same tires for my Evader EXT and a Nitro Firestorm if I get one.

Would it be possible to run tires that use a drive pin. If I get another ST I would like to be able to use the same tires to save some $$$.

Here are some of the highest jumps I did with my firestorm!Landed upside down trying to do a back flip(Not shown in video)After all those jumps the only damage done was to the wing!

I think I am going to upgrade the engine in my firestorm and was wonder if anyone else has done this or not? which one should I get? tower has an OS .18 for $129 will this one fit my firestorm? I'm also going to upgrade both of my servos I was looking to get something that will be a bit mmore responsive any suggestions on which ones to buy? I'm open to any other upgrades as well. I may go to a 21t cluch bell also.

if you want something inexpensive to replace your stock servos go with the hitec hs625's http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXUZ87&P=ML ....if you're running 6 volts they give you about 90oz of torque at .15 sec with is more than enough for an st and quicker than the hs645's at the same price about $36 ....and the nice thing is hpi includes the teeth adapter for the hitec servos i believe it's the 23 tooth adapter

jeez, only just finished cleaning down my Firestorm after yesterdays sand run! Anyone know how to better protect your car for use in sand? ballons over suspension shafts etc. I'm sure plenty of people do it alot, I've seen loads of videos on youtube of drune driving etc, but I don't get how its worth the time it takes cleaning it down! Or does nobody clean their cars?

Anyway, I'll be selling my Proline Sand Paw tyres which are supposed to be awesome for sand use on eBay when I get them delivered soon, I just don't have the time to be stripping my car down afterwards. Think theyre worth about £12 and will not have been used when I sell them so if anyone wants to grab a bargain, just have a look on the Bay!

I have upgraded my Firestorm with a Traxxas 3.3 engine. Yes, I did have to use wheelie bars! I put the HPI engine in a CEN MG10 and now it also goes faster.

No kidding.

And this week is gonna be the first time in a long time its above 45* []

I'm looking for some new tires, (after just a few hours, they are almost bald in the center, man donuts are fun.) and in the market for a 21t clutch bell.

As for tires, i think i'm gonna go Moabs in the rear, than keep the front stock until they need replacing.

As for the 21t, can anyone give me a link to what they are using in theirs? And is it jsut a direct replacement?
