RE: what nitro?!
You should really stick with what you started with. If you started running it with 20%, keep using 20%. If you started with 33%, stick with it. It will run better if you stick with the same % all the time. You really won't get any better performance by switching.

get o'donelle 20% RACE BLEND not the rtr blend. Hpi fuel is not all that.

The discoloring in the engine was mostly from the o'donnel.

RE: what nitro?!
How do you figure that changing to a higher nitro content wont increase performace thats crazy.
I would say go with a fuel thats the colour of fuel not this crap that looks pretty. Its basically colouring added.
You could do it your self by adding food colouring. And would you do that? No you wouldnt.

Well I know it will be totally different tuning, running temp and performance. I was just wandering what everybody likes to run brand-wise and if HPI powerfuel is even worth a crap [X(]

In most cases you will NOT experience an increase in power.

WHAT!??! Where you get your drugs from man?? If you cant tell the diffrence between 20% and 30% (When the engine is tuned right for each) then you need to visit [link=http://cgi5.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?SellHub3Visitor]this[/link] place...
However the engine will wear a bit faster...

RE: what nitro?!
I use O'Donnell Race Blend. Works good. Used to run blue thunder but heard that it is crap and because it is blue colored it made the engine turn color. I never noticed it, but heard that O'Donnell is way better and I should use that. From what I have experienced it works good and I can't tell a difference between the two.

RE: what nitro?!
most people do not take into consideration of the fact that they have to change their shimming in the head. Only then will you get the benefits of switching.
And about engine life, I read that somewhere too... but can't find the source of it. But, its the sacrifice for performance.

RE: what nitro?!
all fuels are pretty much the same.there are about 4-5 factories that produce fuel for other companies.
TRX fuel isn't that great, its loaded with oil, same goes for duratrax fuel. steer clear of those. Any other brand is pretty good with oil content.

RE: what nitro?!
there are differnt blends.
Race blends tend to have very little oil. You might want to stay away from these if you worry about engine life. Go for the RTR blends.
I would never bother running anything less than 20%
And stay away from nicley coloured fuels.
