MT2 RTR vs. Firestorm
I have a friend who will be getting either an MT2 RTR or a Firestorm soon. Which car do you think he should choose?
He will be doing 1-1.5m (3-5ft) jumps, and will be driving it on dirt (on my track) and lots of snow (in winter). He wants power (enough to race with a Savage X - but not too much) and good handling.
He does NOT have enough money to buy an MT2 18SS, so please do not suggest it.

mt2 all the way, especially if your going to be racing on a track..i beat savages all the time on the track but they own me in a straight away, but drag races are stupid and boring in my opinion
here is a few pix of my 18ss with an os 18cv-r slide carb and A LOT of upgrades, highly recommended

i run the stock dirt bonz sometimes but i dont like them cause they wear too quickly, i also run the proline dirtpaw tires which i think are pretty good for anything except on road

Murawskiallen, what off-road tyres are you running?

Get the Pro Line Bow Ties and they are like the Dirt Bonz but last a WHOLE Lot longer just make sure you get the M2 compound. If all he is going to do is bash get the MT 2 SS kit a WHOLE lot better then the RTR!!!!!!! The RTR has many weak points!!!

RE: MT2 RTR vs. Firestorm
I think he will keep it stock for about a month, to get a feel for it, then he will add upgrades progressively. First he will do small upgrades such as a Fiber Disc Brake, 100cc Racing Fuel Tank, Lightweight Flywheel, and Polished Aluminium Pipe, then later on he will get the Super Chassis and the Nitro Star G3.0 Engine.

RE: MT2 RTR vs. Firestorm
make sure you get a good pipe, i have the tsais rear and its awesome..and i would waste my money on an hpi engine, get the 18 cv-rx its cheaper and way faster, and he could probably do without the super chasis that thing is overkill just adds extra weight you dont really need...and one of the first upgrades that you should get is aluminum steering knuckles as with the plastic stocks the screws pull out all the time

RE: MT2 RTR vs. Firestorm
I think he will need the Super Chassis, as he is planning on doing backflips and other stunts on a regular basis. A little extra weight is OK, because he does not need to extract every ounce of speed from it.
