Budget "JATO KILLER" drag truck
To say i am on a budget is being a little generous. I have had 5 r/c car's over the course of eight years ranging from an electric rustler to a nitro hawk to a xxx-nt sport and a xxx-nt adam drake to a schumacher menace. Now i have either sold them or they are in so many parts there is no reason to put them back together, actually it would probably cost more to put them back together than it would just to buy a whole new truck. Now i have a new mission, i thought i was out of r/c but my friend keeps pulling me back, and i am on the lookout for low budget project truck that is going to fly, my goal is 80mph. I know at that speed its pretty much pointless to even buy a truck, but i like the fact that i could change the gearing and be able to take it off road. What would be a good platform to start my project off of? I was thinking an old nitro rustler chassis or maybe a rc/10gt but i am not sure. One thing i am sure of is to reach those speeds it needs to be a single speed with very tall gearing and i need a strong enough engine to get it to pull. So what do you think?

to make a rc10gt even lighter..take off the radio covers and baloon them..saves a lil weight there
upgrade to carbon fiber shock towers to save even more weight. lowerit more..and then u will see :P
also u can buy trucks that already go 80mph..schumacher menace [:-]
i love rc10 gt's...so simple..so sweet...so controllable..wats not to love
nice tho miamiz
i must say tho..u can make that thing way lighter if u know wat i mean
everything thats plastic and dont support but only covers things can be removed and ballooned

i needed to get the bump start back plate but never got around to it i did pull out the one way bearing since from the pull start since start it on a starter box anyways.......
those tower ARE CARBON FIBER this RC10GT is belive it or not over 10 years old my buddy got it a while after they came out and i bought it from him about 2 years ago.......when i got it it still had the tub chassis (that i have in a box somewhere) just on this tower u cant see the woven graphite only from the side.....
the little black things are zip ties in the front that i used to start 3 AA battery to the front of the car just to keep the front end down at high speeds............it works up untill i turned and they fell out!!! LOLOL
