RE: o.s. 18tz ?
I never saw it for that cheap, so I would say get it, but be careful, I have a friend who put one it his rustler and he totally tore up the drivetrain, he upgraded the tranny, and he started stripping spurs, got a steel spur, and now he tears up the bell, man though, that engine has A LOT of power, it could beat some .21s man!! If you can't handle the power[sm=punching.gif] you can get an .18 CVR, CVRX with pull start. I wonder how cheap those run for?... anyway, anyone else?

That's far too much engine for a 4 pound ST. As it stands, the .12TZ would absolutely overwhelm you.
That's definitely an unbeatable price, but you should really look into something more practical like the .18 CV-RX (S). The only thing you'd need is the NTC3 PS engine mounts and the NTC3 clutch nut.
Good luck.

I dont see why you would put the .18tz on that car. I mean, your gunna have to run to turn around your flipped car after every time you accelerate. But maybe thats just me, some people love the exersize.

For that price its hard to pass, you might have a hard time with the short crank; I don't know if the NTC3 clutch nut is made for cranks that short.

I just dropped the .18TZ in my rc10gt2 RTR. The only parts I needed was a NTC3 clutch nut http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0001P?&I=LXBMD5, the engine mounts of a NTC3 http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0001P?&I=LXBMK6 and this is the header I got http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0001P?&I=LXNYY7, you will also need exhaust manifold springs and an air filter, the one of the .15AE RTR engine wont fit.
Its a lot of engine but I love it. You just have to learn a lot of finger control with the throttle

I run the OS .18 TZ in my XXX-NT and I cannot believe I havent broken anything yet. I probably have 1.5 gallons on it in the truck. My diff has held out great. Here is a quick vid of the crazy power.

I dont know if that one will fit as nicely, i dont know if the flywheel will fit properly on the shaft of that engine. I think the shaft needs to be like on this motor http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXHLV6&P=0 or like this one with a NTC3 clutch nut http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXHLV7&P=0 I think having the whole shaft threaded will keep the flywheel from fitting properly
