Default Tuning help

This probably belongs in the glow engine section; but I figured I would get more traffic here.

Anyho,
I just got an OS.18CV-RX for my RC10GT, and had a question regarding tuning on this motor.
Does anyone know what the ideal operating temp for this engine is? And, does anyone have an onboard temp system on this motor? I have a Nomadio Sensor on my ride, and will be using the temp sensor on this motor. I am currently running the sensor on the second fin on the head of my stock AE.15; but wondered if this is the same location I should use on the OS.

Thanks in advance-
Shaun

I would think the best place would be where you can verify consistent engine temps.
I would use another temp gun, and tune it to run well, and take temps from your sensor, and an IR temp gun to baseline, and calibrate. Move your sensor loop accordingly, so that your temps are the same on both after different driving conditions.(after a casual cruise...after a couple of high speed runs...after a couple of hard laps...)

second fin from the top? my venom temp gauge says the loop should be on the bottom most fin on the head. i do get some crazy temps sometimes.

I am also running the .15, maybe i should try second from the top but i need to double check temps with a infrared temp gun.
