i know the jato blows everything out of the water, but what are the five fastest rtr's besides the jato 3.3? thanks

dont know about the rtr engines, but with the same engines, the xxxnt is a little faster than a gt2with the stock gearing. these are the only ones i know about because i have a gt2 and an adam drake truck. they are both very good trucks and each has its strengths, but i like my losi better than my gt2. it seems to be WAY TOUGHER TOO.

This for the most part is a circle game so fast don't mean (^&@ in the ST field there are except for the JATO probably 8 trucks that go right close to 40 mph. Now if you can afford to go out and buy those 8 trucks and test them side by side would you please post it so we can know for sure. All your going to get with that question is a bunch of blow hards that think there truck is better than the next guys and nobody to offer real proof

i know rc driver actually test top speed and post it in there mags. Maybe they have a online database of everything they have done so far.

Do you consider the Menace a stadium truck? If so, that would be the fastest

yea the menace is a stadium truck but it doesnt go 70....about 5o or 55

Don't forget the Nitro 4-tec. The menace tops out at 56 as RC Car Magazine tested, not even close to there claims.

Xtreme prints top speeds of every RTR that they test. I don't know if they have a compilation of those results anywhere in one place, but at worst you can find out which issue each truck was tested in and go look them up in the books.

Really though, besides knowing that the Jato annihilates everything else, what do you need to know? The Rustler 2.5 will probably have a bit of an edge against everything else, but the rest of them, especially more competition minded trucks like the XXX-NT and the GT2 will probably all be stupid close to each other in top speed.

Then you start talking about non-RTR trucks or RTR truck with non-RTR engine and it just becomes a question of "How fast do you want to spend?"

The X-Cellerator does 50 out of the box.

The next fastest after the Jatos is the XTM X-Cellerator at just over 50mph out of the box. The Nitro Rustler can only do 50 if you install a larger clutch bell, otherwise it does mid 40's out of the box. The rest do around 40.

I agree that it doesn't go 70 out of the box, but in a mall parking lot with street tires, I did radar it at 64mph. I will get it to 70mph soon though
