17mm wheel adapters
I think I have seen it on a Jato, as well as an RC10GT... Some people have 17mm hub adapters and are using 1/8 scale buggy wheels. I have a set of buggy foams that I would like to put on my X-Cellerator. Does somebody make the adapters for stadium trucks, or is it just a custom mod?

You can find most of these rims in your LHS you might want to make sure you grab a front set and a back set b/c the front needs bearings and the back doesn't don't get them mixed up.
Remember you can boil your tires off so don't buy new rims b/c your tires are shot.
You also might want to get a set of these tires or prolines

I love my Yokohamas

RE: 17mm wheel adapters
Im sure if Pro-line decided to manufacture real size tires, they would be the same league as Yokohama.... NOT! but don't kid yourself tho.. these tires aren't made by Yokohama, just because the name stamp on it doesn't mean Yoko manufactured it.. Chances are this is not even made by HPI but a third party.
Like I said I just got these tires the other day and soon after I finish my project with my .15 stocker I will sure test these babies out!
Damn! we even have it on the same wheels!
BTW, here's some hex adapters http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXKSC1&P=V

RE: 17mm wheel adapters
I think I may have mounted my fronts on the wrong side but thanks for pointing it out. Tho, I haven't glued it yet.. it drives me crazy when I made a mistake like that.

RE: 17mm wheel adapters
ok pedistix, those are not correct the 17mm hexes u linked to, they are for a MT, that have 8mm stubs.
And Oliver, those are just adaptors for different brands of cars, RC10GT has diff wheel mounting to jato etc. There still for ST wheels, not buggy
The only one that make the 17mm hex for stadium trucks is New Era, ive heard of other brands but cant think of them at the moment.
There made for diff STs to, the x cellerator uses the same mouting as a XXX-NT

RE: 17mm wheel adapters
Thanks Scotty, I'll check out New Era. That was the first place a thought to look, and I had breifly scanned through it but didn't see them. I'll have to check again.
Oliver, those links you posted are for 14mm hexs and truck rims. Thanks for all the responses though.

RE: 17mm wheel adapters
i reckon it should fit the X cellerator, does the x cell have the same looking pins? Maybe some could chim in who has them and show pictures of the inner side of the front and rear, that way u can see if they will work with the x cell setup

RE: 17mm wheel adapters
I'm sure they will. I already use T4 rims on it. I have a .28 on my X-Cellerator and I figured it might work out a little better on the pavement with a set of buggy foams on it. I use the foams on my XT2 and they hook up great. I'm getting good traction with the 2.2 tires but they are wearing pretty quick.
