Looks like that'll be my next bashing tire choice!
Anyway, the Jato is a great truck. Like any 2WD, it will get stuck. I hear its quite durable. The 2-speed and the 3.3 will give you an ear-to-ear grin all day long!

Its good, probobaly the same as the rest for durability you might want to buy the carbon fiber upper chassis b/c they tend to break the most. I've read up on jatos and that seems to be the major weak spot..fyi the replacement carbon fiber upper chassis is around 150 dollars but its supposed to be worth every penny. Off road they are useless without different tires and rims but again if you get tires and rims you'll fly over lots of stuff. They also seem to be alot better with the battery pack for the middle and no wheelie bar b/c it throws off the balanace a bit and also helps make it do wheelies... my buddy runs both of his without the wheelie bars and with the battery pack they handle great on some surfaces liek a very rock ashpalt seems to be the best so far like a 30 year old road. The light grey ashpalt is like driving on a fine layer of dust the car tends to break loose alot more...

Instead of the expensive carbon fiber upper chassis you can get an aluminum chassis brace for about $20 and it will be extremely strong. Moabs are the choice of tire for the Jato. They look bad ***** too!

I just threw on some bigger off road tires today and was amaized in the difference in off road capabilities.
Bigger tires on the Jato is the only way to go.
Also the sway bar makes a huge differnece in handling. It keeps the body roll down so you can take tight turns easier and faster.

lol that would be cool if it did function as a sway bar but no, it is in fact is an old sway bar but i just use it as an engine cage so it dont get scratched or a bunch of mud all over it

Yeah, the jato 3.3 might be good, but(sorry traxxas)it does not compare to the Firestorm 10t.(as far as durabilaty)The speed isnt bad either, for 1 gear it can reach speeds of up to 38 mph.(thats not compared to the jato's 60 mph)But then again, the firestorm has only one gear.Put a 2gear transmission on and you can be soaring past 60(the G3.0 engine on the firestorm has 2.2 horsepower[>:] and the truck only weighs 4.5 pounds)amazing [X(]isn't it?!

It would not take much for a Jato to hang with a firestorm on the track. A $10 single speed conversion on the Jato still brings it in the upper 40 to lower 50mph range. Yes the firestorm is a great package no doubt but the Jato is just as capable with some minor suspension tuning. As for reliability I think the Jato is just as reliable as any other.
