    Anyone have a sportwerks reaction?

I just picked up a sportwerks reaction 1/10 scale nitro ST today ..... Let me tell you this thing kicks butt...

    Remote on-Board Starting system
    Electric Reverse
Included 7.2V 1300 mah nimh for starter, glow heater, and reverse (and servos/rx)
    Descent airtronics tx/rx
.18 single speed (easiest break in I've had... maybe it was th starter, but the engine seems to hold its own pretty well)

I fired it right up, have about 6 tanks or so through it, haven't had to charge the battery yet, though it was starting to show signs of dump on the last run-- thought I did foul one plug on about 2 1/2 tanks in (probably typical as rich as it was set), slowly starting to lean it up a bit and it is sweet.

I have other nitros, but no other Stadium Trucks--- can't really compare them, but as far as ease of use this thing takes the cake.
Price tag 299... can't beat it! Probably the most innovative truck I've got-- maybe I'll drop a mamba in for reverse so I can go as fast backwards as I can fowards!! j/k

if anyone has one let me know what I can expect-- I already had a little trouble with the glow heater after I switched to an OS #8 plug, thought it was a lemon until I tried a glow ignitor on it and it fired right up.
how fast is that thing? I\'ll bet we could go brushless in that toaster!!

I dont have one but they do look cool and have a good price. I would be nice, when bashing around, to not have to carry starter gear with you.

I just got a traxxas nitro sport with ez start from ebay for $70....it's a bunch of fun..just have to carry a battery with me to start it.

right on, Im not a racer, and reliability and ease of use are pretty high on my priority list as I have limited time for bashing..... this thing is awsome

the on board starting gear isn't it though--- It's got electric reverse too, a nice touch for driver's like me... not so much a travel gear, but nice for the "oops" moments!

Yeah, it kinda sucks when you scream down the road, make a u turn then the engine dies...and you have to run down the street before a car takes it out.

So you just hit a buttom on the re-action and it cranks up? does it have a push primer or do you put your finger over the exhause for a second to prime it?

I'm guessing with the 6cell stick battery, it runs the servos too? don't need the 4 AA batteries?

RE: Anyone have a sportwerks reaction?

it comes with a voltage regulator o it that splits up power delivery (1.5v to glow heater, 4.8v? to servos/rx, 7.2 to starter/revers electric motors). The button is setup so you press it once and a light comes on the tx to let you know the glow plug is being heated, and you press again and it turns the engine over.... it doesn't have a primer, so I have plugged the pipe for about 2 secs is all it takes, but other times it has primed itself after about 5-6 seconds of turning over.

its not a stick batery though, its setup 3 and 3 side by side like a cube almost.... been looking for something comparable, and the closest I've found would be for toy helicopters (almost hobby grade, but at less than $100 I'm not sure what kind of flights you would get). It an odd setup, but Im also considerring tearing up an old team losi pack that I never use anymore and resolderring into the right configuration. No AA's on the truck, 8 for the tx. Comes with everything you need except that and fuel.... body is even pre-trimmed with a cooling hole in the windshield and the passenger window cutout for refueling on the fly.

RE: Anyone have a sportwerks reaction?

yea, the reaction is a pretty good starters car, i go *** about 2 months ago, it was my frst one, although family feends had very nice ones that i used.(i jsut bought one of their t-maxx all amluminized and cuztom parts fr only 150$(eveythig is worth 1k., awsome deal!), but anyways, im pretty good at driving them, my dad... not so much, he smashed it into my brick wall in drive way, broke both a-trays and the bulkhead. then i was with my freind at the local sandpit and it did a wheelie in the sand, air filter came out, we didnt notice it, we htink it was only out for a little bit, like 1 min. maybe less, well now it wont start, so we got a new glow plug, figure it was getin worn out somehow, a little bit better but still stalled after it got hot. so we went to hobby shop and they tell us theres sand in the motor and theres no compression, so now we have to ge t new mottor but i guess its a good car, but my tmaxx owns!!
