RE: gears
robinson racing has a 44 tooth spur gear that should work really well you will have to change the switch point on the 2 speed so that it stays in first longer or your acceleration will be horible i have a 43 (i think) in mine that was for a gt one but i cant seem to find where i got it from

You need the robinson racing 20t clutch bell and traxxas 40t or 38t (your choice) spur gears. I have 20/40 and it is awesome, it brings the acceleration to a level you can controle and it gives you massave top speed.

RE: jato 3.3 gearing for speed
ive currently got 42 tooth spur with a 24 tooth Clutch bell and a mach 427, im yet to get to WOT on any surface because it just rips the wheels in the air lol.
The 34 tooth clutch bell really tames the bottom end but top end is just silly fast LOL
