RE: Official Traxxas Jato 3.3 Thread
I heard those bronze gears were really good. The guy that did the you tube video was selling them on ebay. A few guys on the traxxas forum in the traxxas web site bought them for like 80 bucks. I heard he was making them him self but has not made any in quite some time.

RE: Official Traxxas Jato 3.3 Thread
Hi there!
Its been a while since I posted here... Im in the Dominican Republic doing an internship and have been away from home for about a month now! Got 15 days to go and Im back! I really miss my rc cars!! Haha...
Quick thing guys, before I left I was playing with my jato quite a bit, I have been thinking of getting some new tires for it:
For the track I have been thinking of getting the new Proline Suburbs in MX compound and for onroad use some Pro-Line Road Rage II 2.2" Truck Tires, what do you think?
Are the suburbs worth it? Thanks!

I just had a recent death in the family but I will post some pics for you this weekend on how to chnge the clutch. You can get some better ones from MIP. They are about 10 to 15 bucks as well. Just give me a little time or you can actually go on the traxxas web site and try the forum there.

RE: Official Traxxas Jato 3.3 Thread
Hi guys, I want to get some proline road rage tires, should I get a front set and a back set or can I just go with the back set and use front wedged tires... the typical stadium truck ones you know?
How are these on road? Mainly parking lot bashing and Hi speed runs... my anacondas are wearing down on the back set so I wanted to look at some good on road tires.... what do you think?
As an off road option has anybody tried the new suburb tire from proline?

As for the Proline Road Rage tires, they are excellent on-road tires. I have ran them many times. Also the Panther slicks work great for on-road too. You do not have to get the Road Rage fronts as well the tires you have on the front now will be quite sufficient as the Jato really doesn't shred through fronts like rears (the fronts hardly ever touch the ground) So you are good there.
Lp-Jato, I'll give you my two cents about Integy, EXPENSIVE for nothing. They make nice aluminum parts yes, but so do other companys for a much better price. Here is a link to check out for aluminum parts...
http://www.gpmparts.com/shop/traxxas...1624_1618.html
Go check those guys out. They have a good amount of upgrades for the Jato and they have a bunch of choices of colors. Just make sure to contact them and let them know what color you are looking for. Also I put these shocks on my Jato,
http://cgi.ebay.com/Aluminum-Piggyba...d=p3286.c0.m14
just switch the stock spings with the ones that come on the new one because the springs on these shocks are very stiff. Or you can go with the Integy MSR6 shocks as well they are equally as good if not better. But like I said Integy is high priced. Here is a link to the MSR6s I was talking about.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Traxxas-Jato-Int...d=p3286.c0.m14
I will also say this, if you are a skilled driver and you don't smack your Jato into stuff all the time Aluminum is nice for the "bling" effect. But if you find yourself beating this thing up all the time, aluminum is just going to empty your pockets. RPM arms are nice because they hold up to a beating or two, but they don't look as nice as the aluminum of course. It's your choice, all in preference. Now RPM does not make all kinds of parts just a few things like the control arms. So you can also mix it up and put RPM arms and aluminum shock towers and such like I said, it's your choice... Choose wisely. I drive my Jato alot and I'm very familiar with the power so I don't lose control of it often, but when I do, I know it's not going to be pretty. So, don't crash your chit if you can't wait for parts Heres a pic or two of mine with the GPMPARTS.com aluminum

RE: Official Traxxas Jato 3.3 Thread
i have the integy MSR6s on my Jato, they look and preform amazing!
depends on the driving you do. i love my Exo caron parts!
but on my revo and rustler i have RPM.......all personal prefrance
Personaly i'm not a fan of alunium ever since i had my old T-maxx blinged out with Gpm, thinking it was sturdy and rugged and what not was bashing one day hit a jump ( probly 4 feet if that ) came down on my left front, bent uper and lower A-arms and tweaked my bulk head.......now i avoid alunium except shocks
