jersey- the zip ties on the cooling head is to protect the head in case it flips over so you dont scratch it. I told yall i'd take some video's and here they are http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtnQ3bgSiC8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5n7gCivlBRg

Yo devo real nice videos man. That's what I'm talking about. Hey jersey I know I keep telling you to check out other sections here in RCU but I would rather show you. You are on the right track but I do suggest you check out the SHOWOFF YOUR ST THREAD and check out the very 1st post. That is my Jato and look at the list of mods I did to it. My Jato is one killer on road car. If you have any questions let me know.

jersey- i mean in the wheel nut put a washer in each wheel and you dont want anything cheap watch out for that word cause in this hobbie cheap means cheap not worth the hassle. In the long run it will end up costing you more.

The wasshers might help a bit but if you have play in the servo saver then get the aluminum ones. I also agree with devo when you say cheap. I have had my Jaco foams for since January. Yeah you can get the Anacondas again or some pro line tires but they were lasting me about 3 weeks to a month. The Jacos are well worth the money.

I dont understand how washers on the wheels will help this problem. it doesnt make sence to me seeing i have loose steering putting (space) im the wheel will still have the same effect

ok money is hitting my pocket this week so i wanna get the jato in top shape.. here are my thoughts. aluminum  servo saver (to fix the steering slop), jaco foams (the anacomdas are about to blow apart), a work stand (getting tired of puuting it on tires all the time), want to get a rechargibal batterypack that fits in the mid location box but not sure which one to get (what are your thoughts), some extra glow plugs currently im running mccoy mc-9 is their a better plug i can use or are those fine?

The stock rims are 2.8 but most of the time (besides foams) it's good to go with 2.2s when u run normal tires. Just make sure they don't rub on the wheel hubs cuz sometimes the wheels don't have a big enough offset to fit without rubbing or to fit at all. For the battery just get the flat 5cell nimh pack sort of thing. U also need to make sure u have all of the wire hookups to the charger ready to go.

I think the stock Jato body is nice. Just buy a clear one so you can paint it your self. I also had the Pro-Line crowd pleazer body for the Jato. That one is pretty nice also just don't like the headlight stickers so I didn't use them. Also try looking at the X-citer body from PARMAPSE.com it has a really nice radical design and again you can paint it how you want. The bodies that I mentioned are just for the Jato. There are a ton of 1/10 bodies out there that can be made to fit the Jato also with the proper cutting and fitting.
