So you think its a poor choice of pipe for a 12 size engine all together? After seeing some test runs and reading up on things I think they may all be true about it being overrated. What pipe would you suggest for the 12tz? Im still trying 2 think of what 1 I wanna get.

Here is a look at my pipe set/compared to the RS4 header and a couple of the engine mounted.

RE: Official Traxxas Jato 3.3 Thread
Hey, i finally got my totally AWESOME Jato 3.3; i'll put up some pics l8r. Since it was slightly used i found a couple of quirks in it. engine-perfect, drivetrain- perfect.
but something is up with the brakes: isn't the brake bar connected to the throttle servo supposed to recoil back to neutral when you let off the brake? it moves fine, but once the pads are squeezing the disc, i let off the brake, and it relaxes, but doesn't move off and gives the disc too much friction.
help appreciated
thnx

thats sweet forb3s?[8D] i need to just get the time to do it.
chris, what do u mean "fuel tubing mod"? was it earlier in the forum? also, if i were to screw out the pad screws, wouldn't it get less brake power?
[:@]i was running the jato today, and was WAY too close for WAY to long....i got a HUGE headache. it sucked.[:'(]

i don't get those kinda conditions i dunno...
i would start at factory... 4 ccw on the hsn and
lsn flush with the ring....
i would look for glo plug advice from some one with freezing weather conditions...
i have heard wrappin a sock around the head will help keep it at operatin temps

Thanks dude, i'm probably gonna go to the shop today. But, i'm pretty sure it gets up to its operating temp, it's almost got buried in snow and didn't die from the cold or being upside down. do u think it's a good idea to get new front tires before back? i've got anacondas all around, but i think my steering needs a whole lot of help.
i'm still working on the brakes. maybe i'll go with integy's brake set.
i still haven't even gotten it into 2nd gear and it's already outrunning my elect rustler!

get the aluminum drag link and replace the bushings in the steering upper and lower plates with bearings... will eliminate almost all the slop

RE: Official Traxxas Jato 3.3 Thread
Hey everyone first time posting in this thread. Well I figured I would post some pics of my JATO. Let me know what you think and what other mods can I do to it. currently it has:
RPM front and rear arms
RPM front bumper
BUKU pipe
MOTORSAVER air filter
JACO foam tires. Painted the rims with a SHARPEE MARKER
GH RACING aluminum brake arms. (Thanks for the advise forbes)
and FUEL TUBING over the BRAKE CAM SPRING.
Brakes work great but i'm still thinking about the dual brake set up. Any other mods you guys can think of again let me know. Thanks.

Thanks again forbes for the advise. Will I be able to stiffen the suspensionwith the arms flipped over? I'm trying my best to keep the car from scraping on the road. I also have dirt tires but most of my run time is on pavement.

RE: Official Traxxas Jato 3.3 Thread
if u have rpm arms i dont think u have to do much modding....
i cant remeber... i know i had to dremel the down stops off the stock to fit with a dremel...
but ur spring adjustments are just the same... it just lowers the shock mounting postion on the
arm

LOL just painted my BUKU pipe with my nick name on it with SHARPEE markers. And it can take the heat too. I wonder what else I can SHARPEE on this thing.

RE: Official Traxxas Jato 3.3 Thread
how do you tell if the steering servo is going bad on Jate3 3.3? When you turn mine it makes a constant noise, like its trying to turn but it won't. If you tap it a time or two it stops and works, but will return to maiking constant noise with out turning within a few seconds. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
