If the venturi is only open 1mm (or less) and you still have a high idle, then you need to richen the LSN.

Make sure that the car is on the ground not like on a car stand, and if it still idles pretty high then skrew in the idle skrew all the way in and bring it out 1 mm and that should do it.

theres ur prob...put it on the ground once it starts...sure it will take off when there is no force holding the tires...once u start it put it on the ground...it should change
and the venturi is the sliding thing when u gas it inside ur carb...take ur airfilter off and while the engine is OFF gas the carb...the thing that slides in it is the venturi...u wanna keep that gap about 1mm

Adjust the throttle trim while looking into the carb.Make sure the venturi is at a 1mm gap when the throttle trim is set to neutral....Then when your idle is too high, you can use the throttle trim to tame it down.(If your LSN and Idle screw are set properly)
BTW,Is your clutch always engaged,or is the engine screaming??Are there signs of rich fuel settings?-Lots of smoke?Oil shooting out of the exhaust stinger at idle?

Yes.An air leak will give the engine more airflow than nescesary, therefore causing a lean fuel mixture...
