OHH YEAH! Ima buy a summit and pimp it out in gold! HEHEHEH or i might even pimp out my toyota tundra?!?!?!? Like the the engine parts? It even says it rated up to 500F! I might also paint my heat sink head
Don't paint the head!!!! If you paint it it will more than likely increase your engine temps significantly. The paint will hinder the heat exchanging properties of the head. I've never done it on an RC car, but I know painting parts that get hot on 1:1 cars makes them get even hotter in most cases.

I guess... It is very clean and looks like it was hardly run... Another little money pit porject for another time.... Busy putting my Mini DT back together since I got the replacement Xcelorin ESC/engine today... just havin an issue with the slipper

I'm not super disappointed, I already ordered all the graphite components. found them on ebay for like 70 I can also pretty easily get the ad2 rear axles pretty cheap also... not sure, but I may just eventually go all aluminum with this one, and throw an oversized engine on it since it runs a slide carb setup... dunno

so it came with an omega XT .12 racing engine, anyone ever heard of that particular engine??? is it a good one?

ok nas, the pics will be coming VERY soon, just need to get to my storage and get my body paints out to do a custom paint job[8D].  couldn't get the EB mods OS engine to work out yet, need a different sized collar for the clutch assembly to fit right. so I may just re-allocate that engine elsewhere and keep my racing .12 in the XXX. looks sweet though after doing some mods, and swapping out some of the original RTR parts for graphite, cut the weight down quite a bit also.  basically switched to the AD2 swing arms, hubs, and upperdeck, and kept the delrin batteryt box, servo covers and front bumper/bulkheads. dropped the vehicle weight down ALOT, and makes it look more sure footed. can't wait to run it test it, and then maybe sell it off to someone... I am shifting more and more to just dumping everything I currently have to fund getting one of those Losi 8ight-t 2.0 kits... man that is a sweeet truggy, and I really want iot, but like you I have somany damn projects going, I just can't justify addin another vehicle to my mob of 13... anyways, I'll be back with something good to show off soon!!!

Also to anyone else reading this post a page or 2 back I have pics of my first ST, and it is for sale. check out my ad in the marketplace!!!

ok,so here's a few pics of the XXXNT project I have been working on. In a nutshell I got it from a guy on ebay who listed it as an AD or AD2, only AD part was the exhaust, so I went out and ordered a buch of the graphite parts, and rear quick release axles. basically i this ST has the graphite arms, shocktowers and upper chassis along with the AD2 rear quick release axles, and AD2 front and rear hubs and sealed bearings, features a HiTec MG595 steering servo and a JR Z270 throttle& brake servo. you cannot see it, but this is all controlled by the DX3S system with a SR3300T receiver and features an Omega XT .12 Slide carb racing engine with side exhaust and the AD2 pipe

Let me tell you boys for a .12 it is a rocket. couldn't believe how fast this sucker was when I started it up for the first time today. all that is left is to get my paints and do the body.

Enjoy!!!

There are alot of really nice looking st's here! I posted mine in the "let's talk rc10gt" thread but why not put them in here too!?

Here are some updated pics. They show battle scars and a couple more upgrades compared to the other pics!

brushless power is where its at, i have a brushless boat and then i went to running a 2.5 nitro jato, i really dont like nitro, even when your motor is tuned good there is still all that cleaning, brushless is better then nitro in every way i think, one gallon fuel = 40$ one decent lipo cell (7.4v) = around 40 and it last for a much longer time period, i wish my jato was brushless, espesially since i have all the batts and the chargers for brushless power

Hey djzach nice to finally see the pics. She is looking real nice man. And as far as that GT that thing is super clean. Once I get back from vacation I'm going to order some more parts and then start the restoration on my Blue Tub Chassis.

Nice, can't wait to see it after it is finished, had a chance to pick up a gold tub, for like 50 bucks, but have to put all my buying on hold till I finish off and sell some of my current projects to fund new ones... work has nbeen super slow, and this economy has finally put a dent in my spending, so I am just trying to find cheap used deals, like the couple of buggies I picked up tha I can basically turn over to make some spare cash for new projects. but yeah, just need to get my paints and get the body done and it'll be cherry. not sure if I am going to keep it but we'll see... I realistically have way too many vehicles anyways. but they get to be like a kid after you spend so much time on em, and learn their characteristics...

anyways, you may see the finished project up for sale on RCU before long

Well, heres my Jato with the body I just finished painting today. Sorry for the poor quality pictures as they were all taken with my phone. I will post more up when I get my digital camera back. The only "stickers" on it are the little "monster" words above the doors, the window moldings,  the R/T symbols on the front quarter panels and the little orange parking lights under those. Everything else was by hand, tape and exacto blade.

Default RE: Show off your ST thread.

got through the first couple of phases of painting the XXX body. here's some pics for you all to enjoy. next will be the removal of the masking stickers, and using racing red to do the hood flames, and "z" stripes on the door panels. ough to look pretty killer when I finish it up tonight or tomorrow depending on drying. let me know what you guys think!!!

Also in the first 3 pics note that the drippy look was intentional so I could get the swirled airbrushed look in the last three pics.
