Ok guys kits are done! I am also working on another brushless converted sc10gt. Also I have been looking around at other forums about my kit and seen someone mentioned all the metal parts were made from stainless steel witch couldn't be further from the truth. The chassis is made from .125 5052 aluminum and all the rest is .090 5052 aluminum To finish this kit you will need some mechanical ability and some tools as it is not exactly just a bolt up kit

ok guys, to complete this kit you will need to find out what model RC10GT you have ! if you have the old tub or RTR version you will need to buy part # ASC7314 . also the 2 blue tubes that mount to this part will need to be bent down 1/4'' due to the changed front a-arm geometry ( easy to do by hand ). you will also need to notch out some of the rear shock tower for the rear bumper to pass through ( as seen in pics in this thread ) and drill 2 holes through plastic for the front bumper. so a little mechanical ability is needed as well as tools. you will also need straight body posts ( I used HPI I will find a part# ) a body , stock SC10 bumpers , rims-tires ( the stock SC10 work fine ) but AKA racing makes 17mm hub adapters for the SC10 that work perfect and will allow 1/8 scale buggy rims-tires ( recommended ) if anyone has any questions fill free to ask

I have a brushless converted RC10GT using Tc4 motor mount and HV-Maxx brushless motor. this conversion would be perfect for me and $50 is reasonable. Can you please post a part # for the AKA 17mm hub adaptors? Also are there any specific 1/8 scale buggy wheels/tires you suggest , thanks

The AKA hub adapter part # 33005 1/8 wheel adapters . I looked them up and are discontinued but you might find them. Hobbyking now makes them I will there part#. Also i used AKA gridiron 1/8 buggy wheel-tires. I am making a brushless version chassis minus all the holes for the nitro stuff like throttle servo , gas tank , and the holes for the receiver tray and making a little different so the battery sits on right and the steering servo , receiver , speed control , and motor on left. Using a TC5 motor mount. There are some pics of one I did a while back on this thread but the chassis will be completely different I should have done in a few days and I will upload pics

ok here are some pics of brushless chassis project. still just mocked up on rolling chassis as it is still a nitro chassis but the new chassis will just be a hair wider and the steering servo will be moved over a little for room for the battery to lay the way I want it to. so as you can see a TC5 motor mount is a direct bolt on part and the battery on the right and everything else on the left handles uneven weight problems. if anyone is interested in this chassis rather then the nitro , let me know as the rest of the parts are the same and the chassis is a lot easier for me to make. I am building this truck for my 4 year old daughter to play with while daddy plays with his jets oh yes it will be pink!

thats looks great! I like the battery layout, making the chassis wider is a good idea. What do you think about mounting the servo upside down, to give the battery a little more room

well I will have 1 extra brushless chassis as I made a second today with you in mind. if not no big deal it will be finished monday the steering servo being mounted upside down would be cool if you have the means to mount it that way. but I like the low profile look myself , looks a little more retro I guess

Thanks. What is included in this kit? This is the rev2 kit correct? Just the custom chassis? I have the blue chassis rc10gt. I think its the rtr version. The conversion chassis simply lengthens the wheel base? Also do you have a hobby king part number for the 17mm conversion hubs? They have a few different ones. I was going to get the hubs and wheels/tires from them. Thanks again.
