I have a set of those on order, I think that they will work great, but I have not received them yet so I can not truly answer you question.

Can anyone tell me if what bearings I will need with this clutch bell, [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&W=000612654&I=LXLST5&P=K]http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&W=000612654&I=LXLST5&P=K[/link] . Do I need the needle or will I need another type of bearing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know that I have not been around in a while, but I will have to get some pics of my truck up soon so you all can see the progress.

5x10mm bearings for the clutch bell. They are high form Towers but there are places that sell them for 90 cents to 1 dollar but not worth it unless you order a bunch of them. I go through so many bearings do to dirt not only in the CB but all over my vehicle's I keep MANY in my pit box.

I do not know why so many places sell bearings like HPI for 4 to 7 dollars a piece and others can sell them for $1 or less a piece and the quality is just as good or better. Hardware is the same way and here is a place for hardware and bearings check them out.

need some help guys. broke in my 18ss+. got 8 tanks through it WOW has one H3ll of a power band . first Q. when the power band kicks in i lose all steering. got 1 degree toe in rear, 1.5 out front. Q2. what can i do with gearing and pipe to lower power band and not lose too much speed? i know, the best of both worlds! front diff has 10,000, rear 7,500.i like the way it enters and exits just seems it needs a little more torque off the corner. recomend a pipe, gearing thanks

I was considering upgrading the plastic bushings to bearings in the steering assembly, can someone who has done it already tell me the correct size bearing to use? Also, has anyone ever used these? http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXRGT0&P=SM I run in the sand, and it always seems to get into the tire, it would be nice to be able to unbolt them and get it out. Are they any heavier than standard rims, I expect they would be by a small amount. If anyone knows anything about them, let me know. Thanks in advance.

whaaaaa?!?!?! since when does towers carry bead locks.. anyway a person i know that sed to be on this thread got them for his mt2 and he said it worked well

On problem with bead locks wheels they are HEAVY. Have you tried punching holes in the tiers and plugging the ones in the rims? The centrifugal force help sling the debris out of the tire. Pro Line recommends having holes in both but I prefer to only have them most of the times in the tires.

he's talking about drilling holes in the tires in the tread to let the water,muck,gunk out of the tires.....I have a set of beadlocks on my Monster Truck and they really aren't much heavier than stock...maybe a few grams thats it...

well ran mt mt2 tonight and my right rear cvd is popping out of the drive cup at the diff....it looks like the shaft is too short or the drive cup is worn out...anybody else have this problem...any ideas?

there should be like 1 or 2 silicone o rings in there. if it isnt there then thats your problem.. i doubt it has to do with the dogbone or the cups but who knows.... i could be wrong

GAAAAHHHH i cant get my hands on some dang glow plug ignitors :( my cars been out of commission for the whole summer.. i almost forgot what if felt like driving it.. man do i miss the good times.... hopefully i get one asap

I had the same prblem with the rtr dogbones, and o rings didnt seem to help. I ended up upgrading to the 18ss drivetrain when I got the .18 CV-RX and the problem stopped, but you say you are using CVD's, so Im not sure why you are having the problem.

this is an 18ss truck....the dogbone end at the diff...thats where my issue is.

got diffs back today and dont think they will last long they said they were shimmed up but it does not look like it and they even put some of the screws back in the wrong place and these guys are supposed to be profesional

i now need a new clutch bell is it worth putting a 13t back on or go for a higher tooth one thanx. if only they used decent metal gears in the first place

I did it on my project truck and it works greattttt!!!!! There is a lot less drag on the steering.

I've had my MT2 for 2 years now and for some reason it runs at 420 degrees F and I richen it until it dies. Does this mean the motors on its way out and what should I do to fix it.

Bud,

It sounds like you have an air leak. Air leaking in around your carb or your back plate, running that hot for 2 yrs now is not a good thing. What I do to find an air leak, I take the motor off of the chassis and take some soapy water (Dawn works good) and put a little around the carb (With air filter off) then I blow in to the carb opening, and listen for bubbling, if you hear bubbling you have an air leak around the carb and that is why you can not get the temp to go down, do this to the back plate and the rest of the motor. I am sure some of the other guys on this sight may have more insight than I do, but this is one trick I use.
