Well now, I'll be dipped! Its finally comin out this summer. Who's gonna be at their LHS or on the phone ordering as soon as they possibly can?

I wonder when they will announce pre order dates. Opinions anyone?

[link=http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/showpost.php?p=2011339&postcount=1]Pics[/link] I know they have been posted before, but eh.

One thing we can be thankful for, is that it looks like the ST class will be making a comeback too!

Yes, now wait wait wait, and then the Losi counter strike and ST are back in business for the forseeable future.

It looks like they have a rotary carb setup ATM. But, I'm pretty sure they'll have info in the instructions as to how to set up your linkages for a slide carb.

deffinately sweet. only things i am dissapointed in are the loss of simplicity from the original single chasis design. it does look like you get much better protection for your electronics...and the quick release is sort of unfortunate because if your lhs doesnt have those exact wheels, its a bit of a hassle. although that is cool.

Probably near $320-$340 for FT kit or RTR.

It uses a SG shaft....with a rotary......[:'(]
I hope they use the body in the pics on the RTR. That will atract newbies.

too bad they have a SH engine on there (LRP made by SH)

J_Bone 05-07-2006 10:04 PM

RE: *~ Official RC10GT2 Thread ~*

As long as it says LRP, that's good enough for me.
There is only 4 different engine makers....

Kemo 05-07-2006 10:16 PM

RE: *~ Official RC10GT2 Thread ~*

There are more than just 4 who actually make engines. Toki, rossi, STS, SH, OS, Kyosho and many more.

Awesome!

Aren't the front wheels supposed to be quick release as well?

I noticed the rear hub was plastic and the AD2 is aluminum, not sure if that matters or not, but it looks like it will have more grip on the rim. I also like how the front shock tower stands upright more.

I’ve had AE all my racing years but finally ran an AD2 last weekend for my first time at the track, I have to say that the AD2 handles MUCH better than my GT on a tight blue groove track. Hopefully this one will feel similar to the AD2 (with the lower CG) but be more durable.

I'm anxious to see it perform! This will probably be my next truck.

Thanks for the pics.

lol....There is more than 4 engine manufactures. Maybe I said it wrong. There is 4 plants the produce these types of engines and distribute them to manufacturers to tool them for there liking. :)
Now I can't remember the names (couldn't say them when I got the info) to be specific

Don't forget K&B:)

Deus..I have to agree with you on the AD2's handling vs the GT's.

either way, i'm in line for this sucka:D

That was where the AD2 shinned, on blue grove while teh GT was better on the ruff stuff. Until this years Indoor gas champs! Ryan Maifield took te TQ and the win on blue grove.

I'm itching too...

It's sad to admit this but the thing that excites me most about this truck is the battery box (smack me)!

Yay for the batteries staying in and not looking like McGiver touched it and only had a bottle of shoegoo and electrical tape to work with! :)

Anyways, I guess they cut 100 molds three weeks ago so hopefully we'll see mass production soon!

3 things i like bout this truck more than anything else, they finally have a good steering servo location ;), 2... your receiver is now in a box, and 3, the battery box.

what is with the gt2, is it a new model. it is better to wait for other new asso models or is it a good idea to buy the rc10gt factory team kit. i like performance parts, so the factory team kit is pretty cool
what do you think?
mihael

Heh...Looks nice.

I hope some of the parts are interchangeable with the original rc10gt (like the shock towers and a-arms, maybe the battery box...etc..).

Looks alright though, Not as simple looking as the gt now but meh.

Doesnt look real appealing to me - I wanna sell my current one within the next month or so and get a REVO!!

Kemo 05-08-2006 04:14 PM

RE: *~ Official RC10GT2 Thread ~*

you might as well opt for a truggy. Revo wont stay in style at this rate, kinda why traxxas made a re-release, so they can "stay in the game". But anyways, this is a GT2 thread.

I'd like to see how the tranny looks :D

sfleuriet 05-08-2006 06:36 PM

RE: *~ Official RC10GT2 Thread ~*

You're right - I'll take my Revo-ness to another thread if I want lol

I totally agree - I'd like to see the tranny.

RE: *~ Official RC10GT2 Thread ~*

Ive got all the RRP bits coming for my tranny by this arvo i hope. i would like to see a tranny that can handle a novarossi etc stock at least in the FT version.

Dann

Kemo 05-08-2006 07:20 PM

RE: *~ Official RC10GT2 Thread ~*

stock tranny can handle almost any engine you bolt into it. Just gotta have the propper built diff.

dannthenitroman 05-08-2006 07:24 PM

RE: *~ Official RC10GT2 Thread ~*

Well i have a modified clutch setup ( huge ass metal t maxx thingo ) so i can put all the power thru the tranny with no slip (the power of my novarossi) and it didnt like that, really fast :). so that why i went with the metal, ill hafta test that out good too. why do u think mine died? (the iddler and diff gear went bye byes)

Dann

Kemo 05-08-2006 08:22 PM

RE: *~ Official RC10GT2 Thread ~*

I wonder if the gears were pulling away from each other... the top gear and idler. Thats a good way to eat up a tranny. Done that before on that kyosho ultima i once had.

Looks good, little more complex than the orginal gt, but i think it will still do good.

Kemo 05-08-2006 09:50 PM

RE: *~ Official RC10GT2 Thread ~*

i wasn't a fan of the old gt... the servo location, the way the receiver was out in the open, and many many more reasons. THIS ONE, i like!

sfleuriet 05-08-2006 09:56 PM

RE: *~ Official RC10GT2 Thread ~*

I think the on/off switch is still out in the open and a bit too exposed. It should be in the Rx tray part so the wires could be routed and not exposed!

hi there, at first, sorry for my english, i am from austria.

my question, i want to buy a rc10 gt.
my dealer has the rc10gt factory team kit in his shop.
is it better to wait for the gt2 because its a new model or do you think its ok to buy the factory team kit??
hope for answeres

Kemo 05-09-2006 10:51 AM

RE: *~ Official RC10GT2 Thread ~*

Depends on how bad you want to get into the hobby. RC10GT is now obsolete as soon as GT2 comes out, so i bet parts will eventually be hard to find.

mihaelbencek 05-09-2006 10:58 AM

RE: *~ Official RC10GT2 Thread ~*

ok thank you. just one more question. is there a factory team kit of the gt2?
