Hi I just bought the GT2 kit and going through the engine options. I'd like to go for the OS 18 CV-RX ABC. The only thing is the manual says it doesn't fit?? Could I buy this enine as is and drop in or will I need to modify anything? Thanks

Hi I'm Completely new to this and I wanted to change the wheels on my GT2 but the one I purchased has the posi-lock quick release hubs. Where did you buy the adaptor and the wheels, if you you can send me a link it'll be much apreciated. I alsobought the Alloy hub carriers does that matter I have not installedthose yet.

Hey I have a OS .18 CV-RX engine in my RC10GT2 with a NTC3 24 tooth clutch bell. My issue is that the gear on the clutch bell is not long enough and does not extend to the spur gear fully. The highest clutchbell for the GT2 is at 21 tooth but that spins the tires way to much.

How else can I lower the gear ratio to get more speed and less torque?

Thanks

If it won't adjust enough you'll probably have to put on a little bigger spur gear. A few teeth on the spur gear won't kill the effect of the 24 clutch bell. Still gonna be a big change.    Lots of motor for that truck.

Ok here is my current setup. I balaced out the torque with at 54/24 gearing setup using NTC3 2-speed clutchbell. But I need a shim to align my pinion and my spur gear up correctly. I made this shim in the picture out of an old gear, anyone know a real shim that will work?

The shim i made is between the clutchbell and the pinion gear.

I have the Associated Factory Team Smoothy Pipe and it works real well. A lot of people seem to like them and its pretty cheap.

if you are looking to stiffen your shocks you can ,change shocks , or even just change the disk inside the shhocks. the size of the holes n how many affect the dampering, u can also go with heavyier weight shock oil. and even change the springs. the different color springs are different spring . if you end up buying a new radio, i suggest a futaba 2.4 gig using the FASST system. it doesnt come with servos but it works great. it changes freq constantly so you will never get interfierence. im running a GT2 with adj shocks, 30wt oil, futaba 3pk FASST system n a O.S .12TZ 3port motor putting out 1.5 hp at 33,000rpm ( redlines at 40000) hope any of this info helps you

if you are looking for a pipe for that motor there are a few things id consider, 1 its held to the motor with springs not screws. screws loosen up cousing loss in fuel pressure n lean out the motor. causing a headache when trying to tune. also the shorter n fatter the pipe the more bottom end you will get. the longer the fat part of the pipe is the more top end you will get but loose some bottom end. companies i like are "Dynamite" n " THS Racing". hope this helps
