I've noticed most can get their trucks to wheelie. I have yet to do it. Any trick to making it wheelie??

RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=-

You need to lean out you LSN a little. Mine is popping wheelies even with the bigger clutch bell that is supose to kill you bottom end. This little truck is a BAD *****!

I'll have to take a look at it when I get home. I am also running the 21T clutch bell.

what kind of fuel line does everyone use?
and glow plugs?
also what rims will fit on the storm other than the hpi?

firestormanation 02-12-2008 09:29 PM

RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=-

Fuel line? Stock
Glow plug? MC-59
Rims? Proline Wabash are the only others I can think of. Maybe AE rims if you just take of the little hex thing that goes on the axle with the little metal bar/pole thing. I don't know though.

Traxxas rims fit all you ahve to do is change the hex to the traxxas ones. The 2.8" rims look nice on this tuck i will post some pictures of mine today.

does anyone know how much this thing can pull? or if its just a stupid idea to pull stuff behind it. I was thinkin about having it pull an air cannon so i can have a mobile air cannon.

Guess what I got for Valentines Day....RC stuff from tower hobbies:D! I got my Moabs, a new fuel bottle, fuel and Mesh wheels. But I have a problem[:o] Since my orderwas so big, they had to send two shipments and everything but my rear HPI Mesh wheels got here. When I got home (about five minutes ago) I saw the package and checked if the front wheels fit and to my dissapointment, they didn't. I was wondering if anybody thinks that the rear ones that are on their way here will fit either. On the Front ones it said RC10Gt and so the rear ones must be the same so if I take of the hex adaptor will they fit? If they don't then I might as well put all of my stock wheels and tires to boil instead of just the rear right? Does the boiling technique work well to take off the wheels off of the tires? I read that you should boil them for like 20 mins and then leave them to cool off until you can handle them and then pry them off.

Try using the hex adapters that come with the wheels and see if they fit.If they don't fit , see if u can send the wheels back to tower.

Well now I have two problems lol[X(]. Since I got the fuel and I wanted to bash I took it out and had a great time hitting this one snow jump onto the road and was getting about 5 feet of air and around the end of the second tank I jumped and when it landed it didn't go. The engine revved and the spur/cb mesh was good but when I shut it of and checked inside, I saw that amazingly I broke a dogbone. This made me happy because I thought it was my diff that broke but a dogbone is much easier to replace not to mention cheaper.[8D].

hey everyone I was just wondering if anyone knows what size the transmission shaft is in the hpi mt2?

RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=-

NTRC, I think that is a great idea and I have seen a t-maxx pull 98 pounds so the Firestorm will surely be able to pull the air cannon.

NitroNate 02-15-2008 08:59 AM

RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=-

Wouldn't it be funny if you could connect a wagon to the firestorm and have it pull you!LOL:DMy brothers savage can probably do the job better.

firestormanation, have you tried messing with the hex adapters yet?

RE: -=OFFICIAL HPI FIRESTORM THREAD=-

The wheels are not yet here but I will do so when they get here and take some pictures. I tried to boil off the front wheels but they are glued real well. I can't pry them off even after 20 minutes of boiling. Should I try to boil them again? Is there another method that works better to take them off? If there isn't for the time being I can just use stock tires in the front.

Put the wheels in the oven at 150C for 30 mins, the glue will become brittle and you will easily be able to get the tyres off. This process smells a bit so open some windows.

Thanks a lot Brisbane, I will try that but maybe in the summer because down here it is super cold but maybe I will get impatient and do it anyways because i really want to have all 4 Moabs on there not just 2 but since there is so much snow it wont make that much difference about the front wheels.

i took out the car today and did some jumps. When i brought it in, i noticed a lot of oil around the back of the car, and lo and behold, one of the bolts that holds the exhaust pipe on is missing. Can anyone tell me what size / kind of bolt i need to buy to replace it? Also, ive noticed that my throttle servo likes to freak out. when i get the car out to run, and when it is turned on, it immediately shoots open and is very slow to move. Right now, its twitching, anyone know whats up and what to do about it?

Thanks so much

They are [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0095P?FVSEARCH=86895]M3x30 cap head screws[/link]

When you put a new one in I would recommend using thread lock.

Maybe you have some water in your servos, just let them dry out as best you can and see if the problem goes away. Also, could be interferance from another radio in your area.
