Boil them in a pot for 25 minutes or put them in the oven at 235 for 10 minutes, I prefer the boilin cause the baking makes the house smell wierd and my mom shouts at me:D

I use a new blade in my hobby knife, and with the thumb of my left hand, push the tire away from the bead, while filleting the tire off the rim with the right hand a little bit at a time.
When the tire is off, I use a wire wheel, or a burr on my dremel to clean up the bead of the rim.

Xtfreaks idea may take time but it comes out the best

avg_joes idea is good but u can sometimes sketch and hit the rim chiping it up a bit

boil them but sometimes that takes the finish off them and they don't look good anymore.

Yup, it's true...but usually once they have gone through a set of tires, the rims get a little beat up along the bead anyway, so it doesn't matter. Once they are glued and balanced up, they don't look too bad.

I use the dyed or white rims almost exclusively, so I don't have much experience with the chrome plated ones.

Poor about 2" of acetone in a gallon can, string heavy fishing line through the wheel, and suspend it above the liquid inside the can by closing the lid over the fishing line. Let set for about 24 hrs,the fumes will soften the glue. Most of the time the tires will pull right off,and the glue will pull out of the rim like rubber.

And how do I glue my tires back on?

lightly sand the rim where the tire will sit on the rim, then lightly sand the tire where it will sit in the rim. then put the foam in the tire if it's not, then slide the tire on the rim(making sure it's in the right direction) put the tire on the rim so the the tire beads go into the slots on the rim where it's supposed to sit. it'll look like it's done. then carefully hold back the tire from the rim and apply ca or tire glue(their the same). all the way around, work kinda fast and make sure the tire sit back on the rim right. do one side at time to allow the glue to dry before doing the other side. i tried to explain it the best i could, but this should get you through it

I boil mine takes about 15 minutes. Being I go through about 10 set of tires a year racing yes it is worth it.

Go with the boiling water.... i just did a set of T-maxx wheel/tires. Boiled all 4 at once in a very LARGE crab pot for 15 minutes, and with a pair of gloves seperated the tires from wheels with no problem.

Check out rcbro, or nitrovenom on rc universe they really helped me out.

Tried the boiling method on 10 tires. Took 3 1/2 hrs. cooking 4 at a time. A few came loose at 15 mins. (per side),but others took a good 30 mins. per side. We probably use more glue than most running oval. Worked tho,and it doesn't stink up the kitchen. We go thru 20-30 sets per season, always looking to save a buck.

Biggest plus that I seen was dropping the old flattened out foams back in the pot. Fluffs them right back to new again...cool ! Those dual staged foams are pricey.

You can use Rit fabric dye to color your wheels. It won't chip off like paint.
