The factory team kit has graphite shocktowers, titanium tie-rods, ubotanium shocks, and cvd's. I may have missed something though. Oh yeah it also has pretty blue screws to dress it up a bit. :D

liger0xoids- I'm sure your gt is fast but there is no way you hit 50mph with the stock gearing. No matter what motor is on it or mods you have done. If you haven't changed the gearing then you are only hitting 40 or so. I've done much testing with a radar gun and my gt and it's impossible to get 50 with the 15tooth clutchbell and 66 tooth spur.

Fantom FR15 + 17 tooth clutch bell + 58 tooth spur gear = 50+ mph.

wow, 50mph is pretty fast for off road, while it would seem slow on oval with oval cars, i cant imagine flying through a rough field at 50mph, thats like almost as fast as my quad :)

It is fast, and it looks like it's doing about 100. All that gearing is usless on the track though. Anything over about 1/2 throttle just produces uncontrolable wheel spin. For bashing and running in large open areas, it's awesome!

Would it go 50mph+ if it was a OS .15 CV RX?

with the 17t clucthbell and 58 tooth spur the 15 cv-r would not hit 50. the fantom out revs it.

while the fantom may be faster, dont worry about top speed it doesnt really matter, not in racing, and even when you are at top speed the difference wouldnt be noticeable, it is hard to handle that fast anyways

On the big offroad tracks the top speed is like 40. Most of the local tracks only run about 25-30 tops.

I just checked earlier. I have a 16t clutch gear, and a 66t spur gear. I've recorded 50 plus on a dirt field with mid-sized ramps.

Being able to hit 50+ mph doesn't matter on a track. In fact, you don't want gearing that tall for the track. However, if you do more bashing than racing, and/or do most of your driving in large open areas, that's where the tall gearing is nice. My friends and I run in a large field. One of my friends has an RC 10 with stock gearing and it's funny as he11 watching my RC 10 fly past his doing over 15 mph faster. On the track though he has more control over his because he can open his throttle fully without getting uncontrolable wheel spin like I do.

I built a FT over last winter. The instructions are very good for any one building their first truck. The kit wasn't missing anything and was well packaged. The only thing I changed on the kit was the rear tires (step pins) to suit our track. I finished the kit off with a CV-r 12, Orion 1100ma receiver pack and a JR XS3 radio. It took me about 15 hours to build including painting the body. This was not my 1st GT though.

cool, well i think ill keep the stock tyres, ive ordered a futaba radio and two servos and ill think im gonna get the OS .15 CVRX, ill change the gearing too. Well this will be the first time building a nitro truck, but i have built many electric cars over the past 4 years...

there really isnt a part that breaks on a regulary basis on the GT. It is biult like a tank.

Im kinda new, what are CVD's? everyone talks about em...where are they in a car and what are they used for??

They're used to replace the dog bones (which are the drive axles). I don't see a need for them as long as you install 2 of the rubber "O" rings on the end of each dog bone. I haven't had a single problem with mine since I installed the "O" rings.

But I think the FT RC10GT comes with CVD's so I won't have to worry about them...

About gear ratios, what comes with the stock with the FT GT?? if i want fast acceleration then i would put a 14 tooth clutch bell and like a 76 or 78 tooth spur gear right? if i wanted to go fast, then I would put a 24 clutch bell with a 60 tooth spur gear,,, i think thats right.... tell me if im wrong...
