what hubs do you use so the short corse wheels fit on?

robertpage 05-17-2010 08:23 PM

RE: RC10GT to SC10GT conversion

in my pics above the one with wheels on it has the stock SC10 wheels and tires no moding needed as long as your RC10GT has 3/16 cvd's and not the 1/4 3/16 is pretty standard on all GT's the other one in the pics with no wheels has AKA racing 17mm hub conversion that are also for the SC10 but works perfect on the GT too so you can use 1/8 buggy wheels on it i chose the RC10GT because it was the easy to convert and all stock/option parts are still in market and pretty cheap

RE: RC10GT to SC10GT conversion

i bought one of the conversions still working on getting stuff. Bought how did you mount those bumpers?

Mugs72 06-01-2010 08:00 PM

RE: RC10GT to SC10GT conversion

Been outta the sport for a bit. Got an old Evader ST sittin around. Would the SC10 wheels also work on it? Mounting the body should be fairly easy. Figure it's another way to get some more life outta the old Evader. Also interesed in your MT2 conversion, got one of them layin around too!

i had to make a few more parts to make the stock SC10 bumpers work!

robertpage 06-01-2010 09:35 PM

RE: RC10GT to SC10GT conversion

you will need to lengthen your evaders chassis, the SC10 has a longer wheelbase thats why i have chassis conversion for RC10GT! as far as the MT2 conversion, it has been put on hold for now, same as the LOSI XXX-NT the guy who wanted me to convert those models backed out i need one to work off of and i am not going to buy one the SC10GT is just perfect for me!

RE: RC10GT to SC10GT conversion

Do you like the 17mm conversion better then the stock wheels? Im worried the engine wont have enough power. What do you think? By the way I pm'ed you my email and will have money sent by this week!

robertpage 06-22-2010 10:49 PM

RE: RC10GT to SC10GT conversion

the ad is on RCU

robertpage 06-22-2010 10:55 PM

RE: RC10GT to SC10GT conversion

i love the 17mm conversions! the stock sc10 rims-tires worked alright but lacked traction and ***** out way to fast. the buggy wheels-tires are only like 3/8 taller and can be rotated and my O.S. .18 has plenty of HP to spare!! if you compare the cost of stock sc10 to 1/8 buggy wheels-tires they are about the same and you get twice the life by rotating.

RE: RC10GT to SC10GT conversion

i got my conversion installed. still working on installing the body.
this is a cool way to breath life back into my rc10gt.
i really like the looks of the sc trucks, but dont like the stability of them.
this conversion is very stable does not roll like the traxxas slayer at all.
i used my stock 2.2 wheels and tires and it drives great.
will post pics after i get the body on it.

robertpage 06-29-2010 07:59 PM

RE: RC10GT to SC10GT conversion

it is alot more stable!!!! it will slide out before it rolls over it is a drivers style kind of truck

Here's a few pictures of my SC10GT. Ready to run but I haven't had time to pick up a new gel cell battery for the starter box.

It's got a Novarossi 12R engine, JR 9100s for a steering servo, Hitech 5645 for throttle/brake, AKA Enduro tires on SC10 wheels.

hpijunkie 07-04-2010 12:42 PM

RE: RC10GT to SC10GT conversion

just picked up the sc10 rpm front bumper setup for my conversion.
just figured out that it does not connect to the front body post like the factory sc10 bumper.
wondering if i should design a brace from the front body post to the rpm bumper or is it going to work fine without the brace?

robertpage 07-04-2010 03:26 PM

RE: RC10GT to SC10GT conversion

i dont think the bumper will serve the purpose without the support but it will look the same! the RPM bumpers need some of the stock SC10 bumpers parts, and the extra skid they provide doesnt work either

hpijunkie 07-04-2010 08:24 PM

RE: RC10GT to SC10GT conversion

figured out the extra skid was useless.

will be using the stock sc10 rear bumper

Can someone please get a video of a sc10gt or sc10gt2 conversion. I would really like to see what they are like in action. I am thinking of getting the new xtreme carbon gt2 conversion but I really would like to see that more people are interested in these. Thanks

ROBERTPAGE,

I would like to order a chassis. Are you still selling them? What body mounts would you recommend for the stock SC10 body?
