And be sure not to use any alcohol cleaner containing silicone! Then you will get a better result without washing it

I'm not going to do anything complex. Just a simple monotone rattlecan job. But I still want it to look decent. So what tips do you guys have for me?

Maybe get a cheap body to do first? I never painted a body either, so I got an $11 Camaro body on ebay for my first effort.

I would rough the inside of the Lexan/Polycarbonate body with a high grit sand paper to get a good surface for the paint to stick to.

Haha, well if more pix is what you want, my Droid is handy and plugged in. Uno momento.
Oh, and that's actually a lift. I just can't find the necessary pneumatic parts to make it work. Damned tees always getting lost...
Edit: Here ya go!
Now, to find someone who can clean the lens on my Droid...

This caught my interest;
Why the apparently norwegian flag on the wall(it is a bit blurry)?
Oh, so it is a lift, that is nice! With those hand operated pumps? I had (well, i guess i still have it, but in parts) some Technic Lego with pneumatic equipment in

Hahaha!! I didn't spot the computer there! A real flag-feedback
Ahh, the 8868, i have drooled many times over it in the Lego catalogue when being younger! So crazy cool with its electric compressor!

Yeah, it is never too late! Man, they got some nice truks and cars in the Lego collection nowadays too, but now they are starting to look more and more like modelcars. Maybe they have lost a bit of soul as they are getting too "rounded" in the corners, and not has this "edgyness" like the 8868 and other models with their more square shape.

I don't like the new bricks. They're too flimsy for my tastes. I tried to build a stand out of the new stuff and all it did was fall over, but using the old bricks, it's nice and sturdy. Hell I could probably have the car running on it.
One thing to keep in mind with the 8868: The claw sucks. It has NO strength. I spent days on end trying to conjure a better claw but I simply lacked the parts to build it.

The problem with the 8868's claw was the ram used. Lego used their smallest piece, and while it makes for a nice looking, compact claw, it makes for a weak claw. On top of that, they used the weak stroke of that weak ram.
Other people have built claws for them that were strong enough to tear the whole crane off the truck before they let go but I lacked the parts to install one.
