RE: POST YOUR WORKS HERE!
Sorry for the grainy quality, shot it with the cellphone, I'll put better ones up later, it's a Tamiya Xanavi GT-R R35 body on an HPI Pro4 with HPI 3mm offset TE-37 wheels.....custom lighting job (headlights, tail lights, and underbody neon with reflectors to try to push some of the neon down instead of allowing it up into the body)

Thanks URit. Yeah the CF is really hard to see in the pic's and is also hard to see in the sun but once you look long enough it will be seen. If you look along the top part of the body in the white main section you should be able to just slightly see it. There is also a little bit of purple added to the black checkers to give a color shift effect. As for the scoop I forgot all about that at the time [sm=red_smile.gif].
Also the Rail drag car looks sweet and I really like how you have the frame work showing through the rips in the paint, although with the pro mod I feel as if the center beam that is showing through the rips is a just a little too big.

I've been getting back into painting some more lately, so here's a few that I've finished up in the last couple of weeks.

RE: POST YOUR WORKS HERE!
i feel somewhat silly askin this but....do all airbrush kits require you to have a compressor as well? or is there a kit that you can get where all you need is a can of compressed air or something?

RE: POST YOUR WORKS HERE!
They do have kits w/canned air , I my self never used one but I imagine it would get expensive buying canned air w/ the amount I like to paint . I bought a small Testors compressor when I first started ,it was rather cheap and I still use it once in a while(My mobile unit) . Norman "the WINDY CITY AIRHEAD"

Yes there are some kits that can use the canned air, but you will be fighting with the brush set-up to get the paint flow right as you can't really adjust the psi setting, and after a short time of spraying they will loose pressure. Another thing when they start to freeze up they will also loose a little bit of pressue.
I used them when I first started air brushing model cars (I want to say about 5 years ago), then about 3 years ago I picked up a cheep compressor with a 5 gal tank that went on sale for under 50, and it sure made air brushing really fun once I learned how to do things since I could adjust the psi setting and it would keep the pressure the same. I never painted any RC's at that the time until I got my compressor as the cans didn't last very long and I didn't want to have to buy 3 or more of them just to paint an RC body.
So you can use air cans, but to me they are not worth it as you will need to have a bunch of them if you plan on painting anthing larger then small model parts (and maybe a small model body shell). Also the brushes that work with the cans really aren't very good, and they will also make air brushing a workout instead of fun.

Thanks for the info! Guess i'll skip the compressed cans, perhaps start out with aerosol cans for now. might invest in a compressor and air brush when i start going through bodies.

My Proline 1980 Chevy Pick Up on my Havoc.
I painted it with tamiya Gun Metal, the red on the back is tamiya Red. Both are from cans. The red on the front is cut out of a decal sheet.
