waht does everyone think of this? would it be easy for a painting noob to use? Any one have any pics or had any experience with it?
And how do you apply it? Is it like a clear coat that needs likea black backing or do u just apply that? CHEERS

RE: Spazstix holographic paint
I don't want to bust this posting, but have you ever tried asking somepeople from CFX paintworks?
The knowledge there is limitless. Pro's are so willing to share their tips, tricks, advice, and even give feedback.

Carbon fiber is actually really easy too.
Browse through there forums, there are tons of tutorials and How to's. Good Luck!

I think you can also back it with the color of your choice, not just black. However, it will only show up when bright light hits it if you back it with other than black.

RE: Spazstix holographic paint
ok cool thanks mate. Well i think im gonna do a paintjob with holographic flames riding from the front of the bonnet down the sides and im gonna get my dad to draw a design for that out of liquid mask. Then i dont know what colour for the rest of the body, maybe a blue or green not sure yet, and the back part is gonna be black u know the slanty bit at the back after the roof lol. So it dosnt seem to hard yet, the flames will be the hardest part i think

RE: Spazstix holographic paint
The flames won't be bad at all.
Just remember, the thicker you put that Liquid Mask on the easier it comes off. If you apply it too thin, it's a pain to peel up those fine detail/pointed parts of your flames. Be very liberal with that stuff! If you have really fine detailed flames, put your body in the frigde after you score it all with your hobby knife. LM comes up easier when it's chilled.
Remember to back your holographic flames with black, you'll like those results better. I would go dark on the rest of the body also, if your wanting a ghost look. If you want them to pop out at you do the rest of the body in a bright color, and remember to back those colors with white.
I would do the flames and back those first, then do the rest of the body.
Good luck, and fun! That's what it's all about!

Find a color that similar to your holographic pant in neutral light. That way when light hits it, you will see the holographic better.
You'll probably want something metalic.

i think a dark blue would go pretty good. I mean u look at the bandit up there and its kinda a bluey black colour so ya. I like the ghost flame idea but it dosnt have to be jump out and wow if its like a light flame job then in sun its like WOOOOOOOOOW then that will satisfy me lol

RE: Spazstix holographic paint
sorry mate thought it was a bandit looks similar. Any way yeah that sounds like the best idea discogolfer, and would make it easier for me as i wouldnt have to buy so many paints. So mask the flames off, spray say i go witth dark blue, take the mask off spray holographic, then another coating of the blue well a few coatings, then back with black? sounds easy enought for me

RE: Spazstix holographic paint
is that the holographic paint? If so DAM that looks totally awesome, compared to the picture of it mounted on your RC10 it looks really differnt, i love the colour shift. Disco golfer what colour should i use? Or should i stick to the tried and trued black?
Edit: oops i see its a different shell. What paint is that? Is that the colour change stuff? It looks really good i think i like it more than the holographic

RE: Spazstix holographic paint
I think you will end up with a few bodies for that mgt. lol. I did a crowd pleazer for my revo, multi color flames and such and for a first job it looked decent but I realized that I used way to many colors. I think that not necessarily more simple but more subtle looks better. I just picked up a h2 body for my kids stampede. I will have another whack at it! I am thinking dark color with maybe some lightning bolts, any thoughts?

RE: Spazstix holographic paint
its candy red paint then candy purple paint then candy blue paint backed with spaztic mirror crome then the flames are done in mirror crome its verry simple to do all done with spray cans
to do it with ghost flames u would just have to do body then remove flame mask paint holographic then match body color as close as u can then back with crome
