Default Headlight Painting, Chrome -> Black

Hey guys, have a Tamiya Impreza 07 with light buckets. Not a fan of the all chrome headlights whats the best way to mask off parts i dont want to paint? I tried using painters tape but its hard to trim and get to fit just right. Any easier ways?

Thanks

I've heard there is a liquid mask you can get. I don't know much about them as I haven't used them.

There are a couple makers of liquid mask...Parma has some and there is another brand called Bob Dively that you can find online that i prefer. If you are just doing the headlights Parma has small jars of it that would work just fine. If you want to do full bodies with it then i would recommend the Bob Dively. I have a 16 oz jar sitting here that i got from my local shop for around $14.00 and can do several bodies easily with it. If you look at my gallery that is all i use...liquid mask and a sharp exacto.

Yes, I looked for your gallery as well and I didn't see any pictures. Hopefully, if I have any free time this weekend, I will post some of my pics. Though my cars aren't the greatest, I'm very proud of my beginners work. I can definitely see this hobby becoming very expensive.
