Anoka County (Minnesota) R/C Spring Pattern Meet June 4th
Just wanted to post that the Anoka County R/C club will be having it's 12th annual Pattern Meet this Saturday, June 4th at the club field in Cedar, Minnesota. AA contest, Sportsman through Masters Class will be flown. expect 3 or 4 rounds. More info can be found at http://www.anoka-rc.com

Traveling there now. Low winds for the first time in days and thereport is that the flightline is crammed for last minute practicing after a late spring. See you guys at 8:00am!

I wasn't able to attend last year but went in 2009 with Tom and Mark.

Was a great contest, perfect weather, $10 registration fee. 13 pilots; 4 Sportsman, 6 Intermediate, and 3 Advanced. lots of flying.
I took 1st place Advanced. here is a picture of me and my Prophecy built by Tom Gilkey
Next year the contest is going to be a few weeks later because the late springs the last few years has really impacted practice before the contest. Also, this will prevent a conflict with the St. Charles contest. So there should be lots of Masters pilots there too!
