I just bought this patern plane called Finess 1.20. Does anyone have info on who made this plane and if there is someone out there that I can get the C.G. info and sizes of recommended engines for it. So far, googling the plane gets me nowhere. I now have plans on this plane, thanks to one of the members here. I only need the page 3 of the plans, the person didn't send me that one. If anyone has the plans and can send me a copy. If it can sent to my email, I can print a full size plans. I just sent another member a copy of the first two pages. If any one needs a copy of them, I'll send you a copy by email.

The Finesse was actually kitted and distributed by Carl Goldberg and was a Dave Patrick design.   I don't see anything about it on their web site though.

It was designed for the YS 120 with Hattori pipe.

Hi KBB ask in the Classic Pattern forum they will be able to help you there with more info,the Finesse is a great flying plane that would do great in AMA Intermediate and has been around for a phew years and yes designed by the Canadian F3A pilot Dave Patrick.

The Finessr is a great airplane.  If you can't find a second hand YS-120,  the new YS-115 would probably do the trick, especially for Sportsman and Intermediate.

Just use the 1.40FZ/ Sport. Exactly the same case as the 1.20 FZ (which was wonderful BTW)
If you want to use a 1.20... there must be a pile of 1.20 FZ's out there being given away.

A bit on the fast side by today's standards but yes, a great flying plane that would be perfect for Sportsman and Intermediate.

So far thanks for the info from you all. I have tried to look up Dave Patrick web site and I guess he is no more. Does anyone have a copy of the planes manual I can get from some one or even parts from an old one that flys no more. I need to get an idea for the bottom piece that is missing. I can try an make a mold for that piece and make another one, I just need something to go by on what it looks like. Pictures can be helpful.

HI maureen dunphy has the mold for the canopy and belly pan....i bought both from her in 2000.....can't remember the buisness name but someone here will know......the price wasn't bad either

Precision Aero Composites.  Unfortunately, they went out of business a few years ago.  You might be able to contact Maureen through the NSRCA and find out the final fate of the molds.

Just seen the aircraft for the first time as i bought a second hand carl goldberg extra 300 kit and there was a product book inside.......Any luck sorting out the plans ....

would like to buy a set if u have to build ......please?
