RE: ARIXTRA, new french F3A design
Hello,
The weather is very bad right now in France also no flight report at this time..................... for reinforcement of wing I don't have any picture but yes, I use 80 grs fiberglass at the beginning and at the end of tube, and 50 grs fiberglass at the trailing edge, for stab I use 50 grs fiberglass like picture.
The weight of my Arixtra, ready to fly is 4995 grs with 4400 TP batteries, Q80 11-S motor and 21x14 EL Mejzlik propeller.
Frederic

Hello,
First flight report of my Arixtra !!! very easy, few clic of trim and the flying test is ok. Rudder autority is very impressive, I've a dual-rate on this and with low rate the roll or point roll is very easy, much more than my Xigris C1 but I must get used for this !
With high rate the stall turn is perfect and with the Dornier shape of wing the snap are more easy also.
In cross wind it's much more than my Xigris , wing shape perhaps .......
Just a little mix gaz/elevator (5%) for down right, like all pattern plane and mix rudder/elevator because on knife edge he come to canopy, I must adjust the CG.
I'm really happy with this plane, thanks to Pascal Nowik for the design, it's beautiful and it's fly very well !!!
Also, sorry for my bad english, mix of my english learning and my friend Google !

I'm currently painting mine and looking forward to complete it. Where is the CG of yours, I just need a good starting point.

Then I'm finally finished with mine, 10 flights so far and everything is just fine. I still need some more flights with fine-tuning and getting used to the different responce, but I can for sure say that this is a good plane. Looking forward to the EC in France in a few weeks.

Been looking at this great plane for some months as well... Looks just right! I might convert to "the dark side" of electrons soon,an this just might be my ticket...? Looking forward to seeing Olas' plane in action.

Ola, Fred,
The stabilo of Fred's model is placed flush with the end of the fuselage where Ola's stab is place about one inch more foreward. What are the idea's about this?

Hi,
Sorry for the delay. Here's a few more photos. Your request reminded me that I had better get some more pictures taken.
The plane now has approx 150 flights and is flying beautifully. Plett Advance for power, 21x14 APC, and finished with Klass Kote.
I owe many thanks to my friend Chip (yes, that Chip) who took the time and had the patience to really trim this airplane to perfection. She is flying on rails !
And, of course, thanks to Pascal for producing a kit that was a joy to build. I am a novice competitor, but have >35 yrs building experience. I can tell you what you probably already know; that Pascal's work is as good as it gets !

Thanks Claude,
How does the Arixtra flys? compared to the Axiome+ is you know. And I see you have done some planes with gas engines, knowing you guys fly F3A a lot, is the performance as good as the YS? obviously flying the same size(maneuvers) as the F3A standard.
Thank you in advance
Alejandro

Hello Alejandro
I don't know the difference in flight bettween Arixtra and Axiome.
I did some planes with gas engine for friend. I just pilot one with the PTE36R.
The performance are good and planes do the same figures.
So I prefer torque, power distribution and sound of YS.

Guy'sMy second Arixtra is completed and in use. It came out a little heavier than the first (I did not Select the Wood and sheet the cores myself), but still below the 5kg limit with Hyperion CX 5Ah batteries.
