3rd Pan American Open Championship 2012
Hi,
Hosted by the Colombian Federation for Air Sports, this year we are going to held for the third time the Pan American Open Championship F3A.
Anyone planning to attend this 6 days event is welcome. The format is 4 preliminary rounds (P13), 2 semifinal rounds (F13) and 4 final rounds (2-F13 and 2 unknowns)
At this time pre-registration is open.
In 2010 we had well known pilots like Wolfgang Matt (Lie), Chip Hide (USA), Juan Rombaut (Spain), Marcelo Colombo (Arg), Chad Northeast (Can), Brett Wickizer (USA), Bryan Hebert (USA) and pilots from many countries like Argentina, Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru, Suriname and Colombia.
For this year we want to make this event even bigger. So far we have 15 pre-registered pilots from 6 countries (Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Venezuela, Aruba and Colombia); but we know the also Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru, Surinam and Mexico will be preset. We have received interest of pilots from France, Austria and Germany. So we think that it is going to be a great event.
Please fill the pre-registration form and returned it so we can planned everything accordingly.
If you have any question please contact us. (see bulletin).

Sure hate missing this event this time around! I just started school and, along with some other things taking time away from school, I just couldn't be away for that long. If anyone is on the fence about going have no doubt that you will never regret doing so. Extraordinary facilities, hospitality, weather, and competition make this event a no-brainer.
And don't forget to try the empanadas!

No crate cause the Envision will be there when I get there . It also makes traveling alone with a weak back a bit easier.
Tuny already knows I'd love to have his Xurama
Can't wait, only 2 more days til take-off

I'm very glad to present the trophy that the event will keep handling for the future. The idea is that as the MAP trophy from the worlds, every two years that the event is held, the champion team is engraved in the baseplate.
the figure on top is called "poporo" and it is one of the most representative pre-columbian indigenous south american cultural items.
the winning time gets to take the trophy home, and return it for the next time. The winning teams from 2008, and 2010 are already engraved.
see everybody here next week!

Trips been ok so far. A few setup is issues that have been taken care of until today when i tried to load An 18 model into my 14. Now im locked out of 14 lol. Teams from Ecuador, Venezuela and Brazil are here. The occasional rain is usually at night and winds are light. Watching Tuny fly his Super Xurama while waiting on lunch...
