Default PVMAC (Prado) AMA/& Classic Pattern - October 3rd and 4th

Coming up on the first weekend in October is the return of AMA/FAI pattern and the 2nd Classic event held at the Pomona Valley Radio Control Club field.

Last year it was a single one-day Classic event. The club enjoyed the event that they offered to hold an entire weekend of pattern. So there will be two separate 1-day events. AMA/FAI will be held on the Saturday, October 3rd. Classic pattern will be held on the Sunday, October 4th. The CD is Cal Orr with myself and Robert Fish assisting.

Attached is the flyer for the weekend. Sure hope to see a nice turnout to this great field!

Stick around on Sunday for a day of classic pattern! If you have a friend that is interested in trying precision aerobatics, we will be offering Pre-Novice class as well as all CPA classes. Pre-Novice is a most excellent way to start out in pattern.

The field will be open. The club normally charges a "landing fee" for non-members, I have an e-mail in to Cal to see if that applies to contestants practicing for the contest. I will post when I get a reply.

The field is open Friday but since the sanction is for Saturday and Sunday the $10 non member fee will apply - if it is enforced.
Camping is allowed but that is $10 a night which goes to the county and has nothing to do with the club.
If the field gates are closed, call Hobby Club USA at 1-909-628 4300

Good luck you guys! Our east coast contest (Charlotte NC) was cancelled this weekend due to some drizzle (Hurricane Joaquin) in the Atlantic. Enjoy your left-coast contest; we'll be competing vicariously through you!

We will try to suffer through...mid to high 80's with 7-10 mph breeze down the runway...

We also got some "drizzle", but not on the scale that you guys are experiencing. But it was enough to shut us down. Hope you all are weathering the storm safely.
