All the glass parts got a good scrub with soapy water to remove the release. Filled a few blemishes with epoxy/micro-balloon mix.

Back on the prop. Drilled mounting holes and milled the center. I will be painting this too.

Marked out the rear face of the prop. This sets the pitch. It is all basic trigonometry.

Cut close to the line.

Break it out with the chisel.

Sand it down. That angle grinder has made a lot of props.

Check the pitch and adjust accordingly.

Roughed out the front face. Ready for the airfoil templates.

Got some undercoat on the fuselage. This gives me an idea of what I'm up for. Looks OK though.

One of the spats. These are for 85mm wheels. Zeus is big.

Plenty of pinholes.

Applied light weight filler thinned with water. Easy to put on and easy to sand off.

I will end up with just a very thin layer of undercoat.

Thanks Ricardo. I see light at the end of the tunnel.

Made templates and finished shaping the prop. Seems a shame to cover up that nice wood. I'll get over it though.

Hi Ricardo. I've made full size props professionally so this was a no brainer. Only a days work so far and i save a fair bit not having to buy a Mejzlik 3 blade prop.

I've been trying to sort out a hatch latching system. Have made a few prototypes and this is where I am at now.

1.5mm carbon rod and 3D printed mount.

Gets glued into hatch.

The large intake needs plenty of exhaust area.

Dremel does it with small sanding drum.

Diamond file finishes it off. Undercoating is nearly done.

Vac bagged the prop with 90gm carbon on 45 Degree bias and 80 gm glass. Stiffened it considerably. That should make it quieter.

Still balances OK. In the end I made it 20x11.5 measured on the back face. Still around 12" pitch if you measure from the zero lift line of the airfoil. Mejzlik measure on the back face.

Naturally I am working on my colour scheme. Would have preferred 77 as my racing number but Gernot has already used it on his latest Pandora. Not that we will ever be in the same race.

77 worked for me on the port side but looked lame on the other side. I think I will stick with my usual number 02.

White base colour on. Hatches and latches fitted.

It took a few iterations of the latches to get them right.
