Default 3 blade spiner for ys

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a 3 Blade spinner for YS 185.
Are the Electric Carbon FALCON spinners any good for YS ?

Many thanks

I wouldn't use anything but Tru Turn for that application.

They'd probably do the job if you were hand starting it.

Let me know when your ready, I'll come down, hold your beer, stand back and watch you give it a go.....

A great spinner, but too heavy.

I have a Tru Turn 3" P-51 shape spinner with a lightened backplate that weighs 60 grams. For comparison the 3.25" F3A Unlimited plastic spinner that many guys use on their electric airplanes is 58 grams. What spinner that can withstand a starter is lighter?

I can't quote any numbers but I've heard of guys asking for quotes for a one or two off spinner. The idea was quickly shelved.

I ordered a 3" P-51 shape 3 blade, blue anodized, light backplate. It took 2 weeks for delivery and cost was 85.00. The cost of the same size Falcon CF spinner.

My Marquette 82mm carbon spinner is 32 grams. Hundreds of starts with not one problem.

It's a designated YS spinner.

Nice, thanks for the info. Every time I see someone use a starter on a CF spinner it leaves marks on the spinner. Is there anything younare doing to prevent that or are the other spinners just made from cheap epoxy resin?

No worries. It's the standard hard rubber inserts that mark spinners.

I always use a silicon, cone shaped insert. They don't mark at all.

They are electric spinners.

Good quality stuff isn't cheap. That's what I paid for my Marquette Y"S spinners.

Hello

If Marquet spinners are going well, I think Mejzlik spinners will go well too.

Depends. The Marquette spinners I use are specifically made for YS.

The Mejzlik spinners I looked at in F3A size are for electric.

The spinner on Bryan’s Allure Bipe appears to be an F3A Unlimited 3 blade spinner. Cone is plastic, backplate aluminum.

The only problem I can see with this spinner is that there is no scirated grooves on the back plate for the prop to bite onto........

This one I reckon. Good price and 45 grams isn't too bad.

Won't find much better than this for the price Con.
